The new "CYCLONE" longbow by Mike Rash at Legends Bows. I am sure that these pics do not do this bow justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The grains of the wood stand out like no other I have seen. The woods are: Bamboo limbs, bobinga and curly maple with yellow heart accents.
Lets talk preformance. I was originally going to have Mike make this bow at 54lbs. Then I shot it before it was finished while it was at 60#'s and I really did not feel the weight. So finished it is 64 inchs, 60#'s at 31 inches. I shoot about 31 and 1/2 inch draw length.
Shooting my 520 grain arrows, I had 3 arrows shoot 188fps. It seems like there is no drop to the arrow out to 40yds.
I am extremely excited about this bow. It is my first venture into the longbow world and I couldnt be more happy. Mike you have nailed it on your first attemp at a longbow :notworthy: . I know Mike is sending out a bow for Tradgangers to use as a pass around, if you can get in on that, do it, you wont be dissappointed.
beautiful!
