Here I sit staring at three large coat racks FULL of Classic Bowman jackets, vests, hats, and quivers. I need to photograph the entire collection of Rob's offerings for his new web and print catalog but I feel the need to try a few things on first, HA. I have already taken a close look at his new vests and one of the new camo, er, I mean PLAID patterns. The look, feel, and craftsmanship are second to none . . . feel like a kid in a candy store. I'll try to post a photo or two later. Maybe one of me surrounded by a sea of WOOL!
:coffee:
I can't wait to
see this catalog! :banghead: :campfire: :coffee:
You are a lucky man. Almost heaven.
Really interested in the vest. Can we get a sneak peak?
got my catalogue a few weeks ago and all I can say is fantastic! cant wait to see what I get for my birthday!
:coffee: can't wait! He makes some nice stuff.
Jason
What the web site?
THANKS
Gary, I feel bad....that's much too much responsibility for one man to handle. Being the benevolent kind of guy that I am I volunteer to help you out with trying out Rob's new line. Feel free to forward any xl items to me, preferably something to go with my Switchgrass Double Rover... :biglaugh:
Fred
I wish I had your problem :readit:
Saw his stuff at the Kalamazoo Expo. Very nice indeed.
I'll keep you in mind if it starts getting to me Fred . . . it's a dirty job but someone has to do it.
Sounds like fine place to be.
I have been drooling over my catalog as well-trying to decide....
Looking forward to the pics...
I finally saw his products first-hand at KZOO and I've got to say he is a top-notch guy with a top-notch product. I'm going to be placing an order soon for a Rover jacket in switchgrass plaid. I'm trying to remember from the show...I think he also had the wool shirts now too? I'm anxious to see what the future holds for this all USA made manufacturer and what products will be released down the road.
Gary, you are so creative when it comes to making these websites...keep up the great work. Your pictures speak to the timeless beauty of the traditional archer.
Oh man, I currently don't have any wool, but have a desire to add some to my hunting "closet". I received a catalog from 2010 and man that stuff looks awesome. Hopefully this year I will take the "Wool" plunge.
I also do not have any wool and have been following his stuff for a while, I think this is the year to take the plunge.
Rob really has his heart and soul into what he's doing. I am SO impressed by his knowledge of wool garments, not just the history or nostalgia, but his intimate knowledge of precisely how each piece of clothing comes to life, from plaid pattern design and spinning of the wool, to final garment design and "construction". When you own a Classic Bowman, you are not only possessing a fine piece of woolen clothing, but I believe a piece of archery history in the making. Something to take pride in today and when you pass it down to future generations. Long story short - I love the stuff!
Oh, I haven't forgotten to take a photo or two of me "surrounded by wool". It will get done.
Quit teasing. LOL
Good lookin' stuff. I have a catalog coming.
Looking forward to the pics...don't forget..LOL...
I won't. Right now I'm buried in it!! Too tight a space for a decent photo!!
I should have some photos to post before the day ends.
Gary you might want to haul that stuff to the pig gig for your photo shoot with all those male models that will be there.
Hello Fellow Bowman --- Many Thanks for the many positive comments and to those of you who bought jackets and hats at K Zoo. I will be there next year and plan to try to do the Waterloo Iowa show in March.
Thanks for the pre orders on the Grousehaven and Little Delta Shirt. Anyone wanting a shirt should place an order for Aug Delivery. NO deposit necessary.
How many can be made for 2012 ??
Quality US sewing companies are getting very busy with US orders-- many companies are already planning 2013 -- so am I --- Planning for garments take months as much as 16 months from start to finish-
I think Gary will post photo's of my newly designed vest- MY question is 20 ounce wool or 24-26 ounce wool-- ?
I feel my new vest will be the best in the market-- I can honestly say--- you can wear it out to dinner or impress your fellow bowman---
Guaranteed---
All I can say is owning a garment that is made 100% in the USA is like owning a dinosaur !
Thanks again for supporting my company and the USA labor force--- it all counts--
I am working on my web and new catalog--
Much more to come---
I promise--- some people say stay thursty -- I say-- stay warm my friend :) ))
My Best Rob Tiberio and good shooting
Coming soon--- " Men of Wool "
What is the Grousehaven or Little Delta shirt?
Where can I see a picture? I probably need one!
Vest - 24 oz gets my vote.
I vote for heavy wool in a vest. Good isulation and wind break. With no arms bulk wouldnt be an issue. A long tail in the back is nice too.

I vote for the heavier wool vest as well. I have already put my order in for the shirts, also have a hat and double rover on order in the Pin Oak color. Can't wait to get it.
Tom

OMG! I love that vest!
Really nice stuff Gary! I spoke to Rob a few weeks ago. Do you guys have any of the Switch Grass Jackets in stock XL?
Ron
Love that vest!!!
Great looking wool pattern and I love the vest pattern. We need prices and more info whats going to be available FOR THIS YEAR!
Hello fellow bowman--- I am working desperatly on everything -- I am a one man show,
well, let me say that without Gary you would not see very much--- Thank God for my Wife.
The vest you see was a colaberation of my in put and that of a high fashion designer in New York.
It has thje points in the back and front, Plus inset poskets. Gary has the first samples for photography. This project started in the fall of 2010 --- Changes are bing made, it will be a bit longer in the front--- which will make the pockets deeper -- and tabs in the back side so you can adjust the vest.
every change cost money. Please remember that patterns have to be created --- I even do 3 xl
to accomidate the healthier customers.
MY big delema IS TO
Vest info continued --- use 20 ounce wool, or go to 24-26 ounce wool. This involves buying thouands of yards of heavier wool --
The answer might be to do a green vest with brown pockets in heavier wool. this way it would go with all my different plaid jackets.
I need info from all of you.
PLease remember this -- how much can you really wear -- here is how I layer.
Merino wool, light wool shirt, vest when needed.
Then my Rover or Double Rover Jacket
MY jackets are made for layering -- so you can use in spring-- fall and into the winter --
Will I do a heavier jacket in the future -- yes.
I find that most sportsman, onlywear their heavy jackets just a few weeks a year---
IF you live above lets say around 60degrees north -- you might want a heavy jacket
Excluding this winter, the last several winters have been very cold--
MY web will give you all the info---
With regard to pricing, all companies that sew want big numbers--- all I can say is I do quality not quantity.
PLease be patience --- lots more to come---
My best -- Rob Tiberio Classic Sportsman/Bowman
What is your estimated price on the vest?
I like Glens little delta green, when can we order?
Hi Rob...we spent an hour on the phone a couple weeks ago and you can expect an order this spring. I love the vest! I own two Filson wool vests and wear them all fall and winter. I like the design on yours better and agree a little longer on the front would be a good thing. I can see putting that one on in September and not taking if off until April. I also saw some of your items on pictures posted here from K-Zoo and they probably give a great perspective of one color against another - who ever posted them was a big help.
Al
Can we please get pics of the grouse haven and little delta shirts? The catalog I got only had rover jackets and hats. This last year I'm not sure if it got cold enough for a wool jacket. :knothead:
Limbender, click on the link Gary posted earlier and it has a couple of pictures on there.
The current cover of TradArchers World features my Dad wearing the "Grousehaven Series" shirt.
Here's a photo of me wearing the prototype of the "Little Delta Series" shirt.

How does the pre-ordering work?
Sizing is also a question....don't want to get one too snug.
Quite appealing!
Keep at it Rob. Turkey is just around the corner! I would like to introduce a big 'ol Tom to some of your wool!
I got the Jacket at Denton Hill in'09. I believe it's the same color as the vest above. Really like it!
Classicbowman,
Seen you stuff at Kalamazoo. Very impressed with the quality and the colors. I was all set to buy a green plaid shirt and seriusly consider a jacket. Only thing was the weights of the wool were lighter than i'm use too. I've got all Filson for vest, jacket, and pants and am use to the heavier wool.
so my recommendation is a heavier wool.
BTW, love looks of that vest.
I, too, would recommend your vest in the heavier weight wool. I live in my Filson wool vest. 28oz. wool.
I think we all need to remember that Rob is a one man operation and the demand for his products has been overwhelming to say the least. Gary has been assisting him greatly, and I think with his expertise in photography and Rob's expertise in wool garments the outcome will be something all of us will appreciate. I too am anxious to see ALL of his products...but all good things come to those who wait.
Hello fellow Bowman -- I have jackets and hats in stock-- so please order -- once I am out it takes 4- 8 weeeks to get back in stock---
I have not had any price increase since 2010
so please order by June one--- if possible---
Those of you that want to send me a deposit -- I will have your jacket ready to ship in Aug-
Same with the Shirts---
I have not finalized prices--- why--- I am ordering more wool and my price depends on how many I sew-- I currently use different sources
- All of which are very busy-- in the future I hope can hire my own seamstresses-- the shirts are 12 ounce wool-- and are special colors that I create-- the Little Delta green is the same pattern as the Grousehaven Shirt--- only green-- brown and heather ---
It took months of trial and error to get the Grousehaven Color right--
YOU can order a shirt now-- Available in Aug 15 or possible sooner---
I am working on my web site--- I think you will like what you will see---
Feel free to email me at classicbowman@aol.com or classicsportsman@aol.com or call 877-599-5153
