Time to start planning for the auction. Nope, it's not too early to start saving money to buy all the cool stuff that shows up. To our craftsman, better get started on your items, won't be long now.
Have something you were thinking about selling? Stop and think if you really need the money or if the kids could use it more? You could just hang on to it and list it for the auction. The more stuff we have, the more money we raise. I know times are tight, but that goes even more for St. Judes. I'm thinking we need to set a new record this year, just to show the world what a great bunch of folks we have here and put Traditional Archery in the spotlight.
For those who are new here, Terry lets us have an auction, usually in May or June, to raise money for St. Judes. Bows, knives, quivers, arrows and all manner of stuff gets listed. You get gear and a warm feeling knowing your doing some good for kids who shouldn't have to be going through what they are.
To Terry, Doug and the Moderators, you guys are top notch. :notworthy: I can't even imagine all the extra work it takes to pull this thing off each year.
Crash thank you for this great post.
I know that things are tight for all of us but at least we aren't in need of treatment like the kids at St Judes.
I can not tell you how important or what the St Judes auction means to me and a whole bunch of other tradgang members.
As stated in Crash's post, "it's not too early..." to start making your plans.
God bless,Mudd
:campfire: Last year was my first year to follow it. I bid on a couple things but didn't win. I'm hoping to be able to contribute this year. For the kids!

One of my favorite events of the year ..... it's for the KIDS
exactly how does that work?
Haven't been able to figure out how to participate. Sure would like to get invoved.
This one is staying at the top!!
There will be upcoming posts about it so stay tuned for those not yet hooked.
I went broke last year...but it was well worth it!! :bigsmyl:
I think another rattlesnake and leather quiver would do real well for the kids. Don
For Kook and Stump Thumper, sometime in May or June, whenever Terry and Doug get it scheduled, there will be a banner at the top of POWWOW that will get you to the St Judes Auction forum. For the last couple of years, there is one section for posting items and 5 sections for bidding on items. Any member of TG can participate and is highly encouraged to do so. Keep an eye out, as stated above, there will be more threads when the time gets closer. Just wanted to get it in people's minds as it will be here before you know it.
I will be purchasing and posting for auction 4 Asbell pullovers in various sizes. Already discussing plans with Teresa to "make 'em special" for the Auction. Stay tuned! :jumper:

I was just thinking about this the other day. I have bought from the auction a couple times, and this year I will build a lamp similar to this one for the auction.
