Well I did a little splicing (still practicing) and decided to burn a new shape feather. It's kinda like a missile shape.Hope you like it.
Oh and there are only 5 shafts #6 would not cooperate when cresting, and had to be punished(it's now a small pile of kindling)patience is a must...LOL :knothead:

Looks great!!!
Missiles are ready to be fired.
Nice! How do those missles fly? Are they quieter than other shapes?
I like the looks of those!!
Looks great. The fletching profile looks like it would be very quiet.
Glad to see those feathers are going to GOOD use!
They look great Maybe the 6th should be a reverse fletching, orange with white stripes that'll show them who's BOSS
Very nice. I'm afraid to try splicing.

I havnt shot them yet, I am not allowed to shoot my 70# bow(getting back surgery in 2 wks)but I may have a friend try them for me. I will update when I launch them.
I2,I wish you a fast healing.
Nice arrow,I like your splicing and shape.
Lookin'good Ipcjon2! Since Mike Vines (thanks!) had a recent thread about membrane splices, I've been having alot of fun with it. Just about got enough made up for my 1st dozen Surewoods.
Yup Mike and David(snag) set the bar pretty high, It gives me something to strive for. Although my best are closer to their mistakes...LOL them boys got talent!
Great job!
I do admire anyone who can build beauties like those.
Congratulations!!
I hope your healing is completed soon.
God bless,Mudd
Very impressive Tim. It's fun to tinker, isn't it?
lookin good. I have to try that.
It is fun but very very addictive, once you get the hang of it you cant stop!

thanks for all the nice compliments. I hope more guys take up the craft and experiment with splicing and burning and chopping. It makes your stuff special and gives it a personal feel.thanks again
What kinda glue are you using? I've done a few but they just don't come out that slick. Good job, good lookin' arrows.
On the ones I make I just use Duco.
Like Mike I use Duco(only a little spread with a toothpick) and the key is matching the feathers spliced with the feathers your splicing into(width of the feather and thickness).Dry run the splice and push the feathers together, and they will grab and you can match them up that way.
Those came out nice!
