The more we look for the "comforts" in deer camp.
We have a concrete pad so our campfire has to be elevated. Our old one finally burnt up so I built this one. I thought some of the older guys, like Ron Lee Klare, would appreciate the "toe warmers"

Very Nice Biggie!
I am just barely almost nearly coming close to being old enough to appreciate that.
That's VERY nice.
What I see a great example of "Older and wiser"!
Good work Biggie!
Thanks for sharing.
God bless, Mudd

Strong work Biggie!
Not traditional, needs rust ;-) Great idea!
looks good. I use the guts to a washing machine. I welded chain together for legs and it stands off the ground about 18". I carry it to shoots in the summer and to the woods in the fall.

I afraid I'd cut me bare feet on all them tools under there. :scared:
Your right, the older we get the more we look for comforts in camp. This is my comfort at ShrewHaven, an old Lazy Boy recliner next to the wood stove..... Lee Klare? did you flunk English in school? :readit: .... :biglaugh:

I figured if I spelled it that way, I could deny calling you old.........
how many burgers can my wife fit on that thing
That's awesome! I might have to make one, thanks! :campfire:

Biggie,
That's a great fire ring. You are right about this getting old thing, Camp and camp fires just go together. If we can keep the young guys cutting the wood while we supervise, we have it made.
Joe
Very nice! Am I the only one that thinks about deer steaks when they see a campfire?
Nice fire ring Biggie. I didn't know you were a welder and fabricator.
Looks good, The toe warmers is a cool idea!
LOVE IT! Nothing beats a fire at camp, memorys, memorys LOL.
It's official. I'm old, because I'm all over that!!
Looks great, did yourself proud.
ron w, I left the legs open so's I can stick different "appliances" in there 8-)
Kip, there are 1/4" drain holes on the plate...just can't see them from the angle.
TG there are 4 toe warmers on this model....room for yours too
 Nice job!
To get a better burn in cold weather, put about 1" of sand/gravel in the bottom. Keeps the heat from going down and the retained heat of the rock keeps the fire burning better, even with poorer firewood.
I hear ya Biggie, I went from a tent to a travel trailer :biglaugh:
 Good job.
4 toe warmers!?!?!?! No way you have 3 friends. :biglaugh:
Looks good Bigster!

That is nice! Great job.
I'm not sure Biggie really had "Old Mr. La Clair" in mind. After all, Biggie is about two years older than dirt himself. But it is a really nice fire pit.
