To the bowfishing boys how do you guys practice shooting eg like shooting a 3d target in prepation for a hunt.
Cheers

I cruise the waterways looking for sunken beer cans.
Rob has a pretty good idea. I mostly practice on carp. If you can see the fin sticking out of the water, aim at the bottom of the fish. If you miss, aim lower next time.
Just start shootin at them. You'll get the hang of it pretty quick.
The best practice for bowfishing is going!

I want to try bowfishing bad. When my tax return gets here I think I might buy a PSE Kingfisher kit.
Its true the best practise is gettin' out there, but in the past I have cut out a shape of a fish and tied to it to a cord attached to a coffee can filled with concrete. The coffee can obviously sinks to the bottom and the faux foam fish floats up as high as you want. Tie a retrieval line to the coffee can and your good to go. Great for kids as well because it doesn't swim away, lol, J
We dont have any carp in the southisland where I live Im hunting deep water fish travally, trumpter, blue cod conger eel and sharks the shooting is hard and fast you got to have a itchy string finger. One moment they are there the next they are gone again figured out one way to bring them to the surface trying other ways to bring them up now. Will try the foam target idea thanks guys
