Well I have cleaned my BOWS. Gone through and rearranged my Hunting Pack. can't build any arrows...NO AD (TradHeavy) shafts. Cleaned off my IN HOUSE work bench.
This is going on way to long. We haven't been ABOVE BELOW for the better part of a WEEK :readit:

WHAT WOULD YOU BE FOR DOING :campfire: :coffee:

Have you got a copy of Masters of the Barebow yet?
-
Iron Bull, I feel your pain. Its been raining here since Friday and should finally quit this evening sometime. We havent had a lick of snow the whole year. Its suppose to get cold tonight and tomorrow H/26 L/22 (ha!) I am keeping busy buliding arrows and plan to use my new crester and paint kit soon to purty them up a bit. Just trying to keep my head above water....literally!
-
Freezing rain/ice for days now and I'm house bound too. If I make one more arrow I'll bust the seems of my office.
Have had a run on strings for Jack Howard bows in the last couple of weeks and that helps keep me busy... the strings for the Gamemaster Jet have been a particular problem and that's kept me hoppin', but have it worked out now.
Biding my time to do some varmint calling. Looks like the last day of deer season will go bust for me.
By the way. Those pictures don't look so cold!! How do we know you didn't have the thermometer in the Frigidaire for an hour?
-
It isn't nearly as cold here in Iowa, but still cold enough to keep my out of my shop and barn. I just bought a gallon of neatsfoot oil that I am going to rub into some harness leather and saddles. Have to bring them inside to warm up first. I have too much stuff to do outside that I would like to be working on and the cold does start wearing on you pretty quick.

Stuck in the motel room in Tulsa since Friday afternoon. Hoping the indoor range at Arrowhead is open today! Getting cabin fever real bad! Mike
-
Heck it's SO COLD :knothead: I took all the stuff in the freezer and threw it outside :bigsmyl:
Turned off the FREEZER
-
BRRRR!!!! :scared:
Looks like you could use a road trip to Texas!
I guess some days being stuck in the office at work doesn't seem quite so bad after all.....
Is that outside shop heated?
-
Those two power poles in the photo would be perfect for brushing up on your treestand techniques....so get out there and start practicing! :bigsmyl:
-
You got snowshoes, don'tcha? You could go out and create a whole "snowman" 3D course! A little food coloring and you have colorful critters to shoot at.
Snow is great for bloodtrailing, and SOMETHING has to be in season. :bigsmyl:
As long as it's somebody else freezing his yassir off, I am the IDEA person! :archer:
-
It may be cold here in Wyoming but look at that blue sky! I'm gonna shoot some foam at our indoor 3-D shoot tonight.

Man, that looks real cold. Especially since its 67 degrees here and I just got thru shooting outside with a t-shirt on. I cant imagine living where it gets that cold!!
-
Lewis;
I hope you were using the Vista Back quiver.
It is nasty wet and cold here. Just not used to that anymore.

Hot toddy's....
-
Gunsmoke reruns marathon??
-
The cold is moving in as I type, should go great with all the flooding we have here, my whole archery course is totally under water, and it's almost 2 feet over our country road so we are kinda cut off, but I have my little monster and it can go through about 4 ft.Should be very, very interesting when it all freezes though.
Rob, How ya make a hot toddy?
-
Show me your monster and I will share my super-duper cold-blasting hot toddy formula!

It's been in the seventies here in N.C. for about a week, I think were having the warmest winter on record. Been shooting in shorts and a tee shirt. Sorry!

How bout some books and mags? Call me and I'll send ya what I got.

Here in San Angelo,Tx the word is "ICE" and do you think these folks here know how to drive in it :scared:
More of the same tonight

I'd stay off the overpasses 'cause that's cold enough to freeze the nuts off an iron bridge!
-
This time of year I get into where I'm gonna go this year. And when one gets cooped up for more than a day, well I could get in trouble!!

Vance,
It appears you are getting the same temperature we had last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, though it warmed up a bit, the low was only -22 this morning. You need to get one of them new fangled remote thermometers like my wife bought that tells you how cold it is, the wind speed, barometric pressure, and lots of other stuff (that doesn’t mean anything to me), without having to going outside. Luckily, I have a radiant heat in the garage/workshop/storage room and got a shipment of bow building supplies from Mike at Pine Hollow Longbows this afternoon so this evening I will finish clearing a workspace and start another takedown selfbow. I reread The Traditional Bowyer’s Bible and Hunting the Osage Bow over the weekend and the bow building mode is starting to settle in. Unfortunately, it is to cold to haul a bunch of the c*** in the garage to the dump. If you need videos or DVD’s let me know and I will send some your direction.

Come on down Vance. It's 32 here right now and will probably get down to the low twenties tonight. For you it will be like being in the tropics! Bring your wife this time and we will have a grand ol' time.
I hate to paint also...that's why we have tongue and groove walls..... :D Isn't there some medical kind of danger with fumes and such???? Best that I recall, you need proper ventilaton and you certainly can't open and door or window....there that should get you out of it.
