Fellow Tradgangers ... There have been a very few times in my life when I've seen a level of work from someone that wasn't already in an art museum, or completely out of my price range. Today I received the armguard that Scott (Wyoming Wildlife Artistry) built for me...and I'm at a complete loss of words to describe how beautiful it is.
There are so few times when I've held something in my hands that 'spoke' to me...this is one of those times.
Friends - do yourselves a favor and get you one of these.
Thanks Scott - Indeed you'll be seeing more orders from me.

Its illegal in 43 out of 50 states to post this without pictures...
X2 on pics. :saywhat:
x 3 on pics
Thanks for the kind words. That means more to me than getting the pay check! Its such a great honor to build you guys gear that I know will be cherished and more than likely be handed down to the next generation. Al we need to see a picture of that in action!
Thanks Again Scott
Judging from the pics of the other stuff of Scotts that I have seen, I bet this one is a beauty also.....but.....I won't know for sure till somebady shows us a pic of their new armguard! :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Scott does some of the absolute best leather work out there in my view, and I see a bunch of it.
Really needing to send him a big'ole Bowie.
Scott is a true artist making leather sing :) Best thing that ever happened to my knives...cover up! tippit
I posted on a previous thread that has moved down to oblivion so I'll post again here in order to inform my trad friends. I ordered 2 Cordovan o-ring tabs and a lattice armguard from Scott. The cordovan tab is the best quality cordovan I've ever had (and I've had them all) and the o-ring system is really good. I love it. BUT the armguard is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!!! I mean perfect.. The quality of the leathers is the very best anywhere. The workmanship is the best I've ever seen, not a flaw in either the stamping or the stitching, not one... Scott is a nice person to talk to and he educated me on the best way to take care of leather. He is a TRUE MASTER of his trade.. I sure don't mind paying a little more for "the best" quality of workmanship anywhere. In my opinion, You can't buy any better anywhere. Like my Dad always says "it only cost a little more to go first class" and Scott's stuff is just that..FIRST CLASS... Thanks Scott. You're the man..
The picture I took just does not do it justice. Maybe when Al gets a chance he can get a better picture of it. Like in use!

Scott, can you do the elk antler mostly brown rather than mostly white in the snakeskin/ feather leather pattern?
Congrats! I got one from Scott this week as well....no antler involved, but beautiful leather work and very comfortable to wear.
So if I order one like the one I bought in Denton Hill last year, all I have to do is say how much I like it and it's free since that means more than.....LOL!
Keith I dont work for free LOL! But its not all about the money either! Its just I really appreciate it when I get this kinda feed back. Lets me know I am on the right track!
I saw the arm guard Scott made for Buckwheaties Its over the top, a real pieces of art.
:bigsmyl:
The tab and arm guard are on my list, before this coming deer season.
Try out his leather care products as well. The Saddle Butter and Dri-Boot conditioner. I really like what they do for leather.
Scott once mentioned a "tutorial" on leather conditioning. Did that happen and I missed it?
Couldn't find any prices on his website........does that mean I shouldn't ask...?
Give Scott a call for prices...great guy.
The best way to describe my new armguard is what a Browning Superposed is to my old Remington 870. It is that classy!
Check out this one. I just got it from Scott. It is by far the nicest guard I've ever had and I've had a bunch:

Wow, that's beautiful. I'm gonna have to tell my wife one would make a great birthday gift!!
It doe s not get any better than Scott's work
I bought an arm guard just like the one Easykeeper has pictured, along with a couple of the cordovan tabs. Scott is fabulous. I also have one of his knife sheaths that is just as great. Got some leather care products too. I cannot say enough good words about Scott and his work!!!

Wow that looks great!
Sorry, double post. But since I am editing it, I do want to emphasize that Scott uses only the finest materials and uses great skill and craftsmanship to create traditional products that are better than anything I have ever seen like them. He draws from the almost lost arts of the masters of the past, just as many of the folks here on TradGang do, including bowyers, knife makers, leather craftsmen, clothing makers, and others. It is wonderful to know that a small group of master craftsmen are still around in this day of mass-produced products from China, Indonesia, and other distant lands. And for the quality of what they produce, guys like Scott are far underpaid and provide value way beyond the prices they charge!! I could list a bunch of TradGang master craftsmen who fall into that group, but this is written to spotlight Scott, who well deserves all the praise he receives! :clapper:
