BOOOO-YAAAA!! Now THATS A Knife!! Very Nice Ron!! :goldtooth:
Agreed that's a knife...purdy besides
Nice knife!
Hmmm, I was a little worried you didn't have enough knives.
I'm glad you've got good taste in design!!! That's a dandy looker.
May I ask what is the cut out and the back of the blade for?
P.S. I think Art Vincent should make a Shrew Pocket quiver with a sheath attached for this knife instead of the bow. That looks like it would go just perfect with a Shrew Hill bow. :archer:

It's called a "Spanish Notch". There are many speculative reasons for it, personally I think it's mostly for decorative purposes.

Great knife right there! Realy nice in the hand.

Are you going to sell those Sir?

+1
I do believe I saw those at your booth in Kzoo, didn't I Ron? If it is the same ones I saw, those are very impressive and big knives.
love it!

Yes, I'll have them on my website when they're ready.
Great looking knife Ron. Glad you put up a new thread, because I wanted to let you know that I'm having a tough time navigating your website. When I click on Shrew Bows or Quivers, nothing happens
Ron, are you close enough to the final specifications on the knife to post them? I love the design and not only do I want one, I really NEED one!
Just bought a Lil' Shaver from Ron up at K-Zoo. Excellent craftsmanship and great people. You won't be disappointed in the quality. I will vouch for that! I am sure this new knife will be just as good. Especially if it is the same one that was at the booth in K-Zoo.
Now that is a KNIFE,
Ga.boy, the Longhunter knife has an 8" blade forged from hi-carbon 1095 steel. The Birds head handle is lightly stained bone. Overall length is 12.5" The knife was inspired by 18th century French and English style knives carried by hunters of that era.
We like the "Spanish Notch" even though it isn't correct for that style. The knife without the notch will be available for reenactors that want a more historically correct knife.
I like the knife also. Would like to add that I too have am, having a difficult time getting anything to work on Ron's Website--not just bows and quivers but even the shrew steel link doesn't work for me---hope it gets fixed soon as I do enjoy surfing that site.
wow---no idea how I screwed up that sentence above---I meant to say I too am having a difficult time with Ron's website.
Joe
The site is working fine on my end... :dunno: anyone else having trouble?
www.shrewbows.com (http://www.shrewbows.com)
Works for me Ron.
I like the new steel. Nice!
CTT
Everything but the SHREW STEEL and SHREW BOWS links work for me.
Another nice custom knife Ron!
Everything on the site works for me.
Thanks for the specs. Ron.
Beautiful!
F-Manny
Drop downs all work... some show crossed out inventory but pics are up... seems to be 100% with XP Pro and MSIE 8
Ron, it wasn't working the other night for those two drop downs, but when I checked this morning all was working (perhaps the taskmaster got after the webmaster during the night).
Still doesn't work for me. When I click on em a little thingy pops up in the bottom left of my screen that says Javascript. Propably my puter
It's up

I'm probably the odd man out here, but its not my style.
I like the blade patina, the handle looks too steak knifeish.
I am sure the quality is top notch.
Looks great Ron.

That quiver is a great idea!!
Also having trouble navigating site. Shrew bows and Shrew steel not opening up. John
Ron I went to check out your webpage and get an error message when I try to navigate around.
Great looking knife my friend. Looks like an impressive last line of defense.
God bless,Mudd
Now, that is a knife!
For those having trouble navigating my site, you might have your security set too high that doesn't allow my drop down menus to function. Also it may be your browser, I'm using Firefox.. :dunno:
Ron LaClair "I'm using Firefox.. "
Me too Ron.
God bless,Mudd
Ron
The knife you have that I want is that gorgeous stag handled Randall model 19 you have in your collection. When you're ready to part with that one, gimme a call brother!!!
Is this the one your talking about?, with the compass in the butt?.. I haven't used it in years..

That is the one. You just shoot me a PM when you get tired of it taking up valuable space. ;)
I never had problems with your site and I'm using Safari....
Ho and, great knife by the way... And that one just above, look real good to!!
The problem may be your Browser. Try going to Start>Run and type in %temp% and hit delete. Then go to Control Panel>Internet Options and delete temp file, browsing history, and cookies.
Here's another more historically correct version of the knife. Smaller iron pins and no notch in the coil. Both styles will be available.
