Title: material between limb/riser?
Post by: Biathlonman on February 06, 2012, 02:01:00 PM
Some of the cork is gone from my just received Quinn Stallion.  What do you all like for the connection between limb and riser.  I've read mole skin is good as well as tire innertube.  What do you like and why?

I just purchase some rolled cork to make gaskets from my local auto parts store and replaced mine.  I use a leather punch or brass shell casing to cut the holes for the pins.

I've used both thin suede leather and the thin plastic from the lids off butter tubs, both have worked great and a bit tougher than cork........

I like rubber or cork. You dont wanna use anything where water could seep in to the joint or anything that absorbs water and retains water.
