I'm not into football so the Super Bowl means nothing to me so I decided to create something new for my wall (and the pink recurve Maddodg is making for me).
Thought I would post some pictures of my basic creation - I got really creative & used cotton candy pink hair dye to stain the wood & it worked perfectly!

I like it Mindy ! Very creative.
Thank you Champ
That is really pink!! Look great!
nice!
Looks good!
Pretty cool! I like the way you put the arrows in. Never thought about using pink hair dye for a stain. May have to try that out. :scared:
Thanks everyone... It was fun to make.
@ Fletcher - Since I haven't found a pink stain that I wanted I figured what the heck. I dye my hair enough & noticed the crazy colors they have on the shelves these days so I thought, If hair dye soaks into the pores of our hair why wouldn't it in the grain of wood & sure enough, it worked. My mind never goes on break when it comes to thinking of new ways to do things.
Mindy, cool bow rack! Had to be careful how I worded that. See if Mike will make you a flo pink/black flemish twist string for your bow. My wife likes pink stuff too, I got her a pink bible last year.
Cool! Nice job.

HA HA HA HA! witty fella aren't ya ;)
That's awesome Reaper - I have a pink Bible also NLT as a matter of fact ;)
I have to say Pink is my favorite color & it kinda snuck up on me a few years ago. One minute I was all in with forest green & now it's neon pink (or pink in any shade really).
I'll be stalking er I mean talking to Mike this week about my "bouncing baby girl" he's creating for me LOL & I just may have to see what he says about a flo pink & black flemish twist... I have decided that I am going to spend EVERY waking hour of my life at learning how to make my own strings for the "ole girl" once she's born (I've GOTTA have her looking spiffy at all times don't I).
I just told my boyfriend that I'll be the "Dennis Rodman" of the bowhuntress crew (since I love neon loud obnoxious colors)... His reply "GREAT, everyone is going to want to talk to you about your custom pink bow as I fade into the background". LOL
I use flo pink fletching on alot of my arrows. My 46 year old eyes just see them and flo lime green and flo orange the best. The first time I fletched up some GT trad arrows with flo pink fletching I showed them to my teenage son. His comment was, "Looks like an arrrow a gay Indian would shoot". Funny kid, huh.
I like bright, contrasty (is that a word?) colored strings on my bows too. My favs are black/flo green, green/flo orange and my latest brown/flo orange. There's a fella that posts on here that has a pink/black string on his bow.
HA! HA! Your son must be a character :)
I have to agree with ya on the fluorescent colors. Not only are they easy to see - I favor the colors ;)
(I was born in the early 70's so I had the time of my life when the neon colors hit the stores) ;)
Pretty cool!
Nice job Mindy, I showed this to my daughter and she loved it.
Mindy, Very well done. Way cool.
