For some time I've had the idea to try a particular design on some arrows.
I finally got them done.
These arrows represent a place I never went to but quite a few of my friends did.
Those who went will recognize them.

Grey, Very well done. I like. Don
Very impressive. You have it right calling it art.
I like those first ones, really different... and well executed!
Beautiful. Ive done some with the Vietnam campaign ribbon myself to honor my father. Ive also done them in a Desert Storm ribbon. Very nice job youve done.
Great way to put a talent to work.Yeah the first ones have the Grayling Green thing goin on!!
Those look very nice. Those of us who were there appreciate your artistry.
Very Nice , brings back alot of memories, some good some not so good, 68-69.
Very nicely done, Grey. I've played with that cresting myself and my next arrows will have it. Love the camo crown. Thanks for the thought.
Super! :wavey:
Very cool tribute. Nice job!
Very unique..!...nice idea..!
Very well done, nice tribute!

Nice clean work....love the OD cap!
Those are beautiful... and perfectly timed. I have been toying with building a cresting set up... and was just toying with OIF/OEF set.... I almost chickened out if OneStringer would have had them already. If the snow ever settles in well I may have to get after it.
Thanks for everyone's comments!
I've never seen this idea used on arrows and I'm surprised, and pleased, to see that it's been done before.
I'll tell you what, that camo was a pain in the rear to paint. I'm not sure if I really captured the iconic tiger stripe camo but it didn't turn out too bad.
Guy
Very nice job. I think you did a pretty good job on the camo and yes, it does bring back memories. Christmas '68 to Christmas '69.
My old brain told me that Tiger Stripe didn't have any brown in it; just green and black, but I checked some websites and I disremembered what the stuff looked like. That is probably not the only detail I have forgotten in 40 plus years. Anyhow, those arrows are about the coolest I have seen.
Now that is a fine idea. I like it. I'm not one to crest arrows, but my cousin wants a set. He's been twice to Iraq, so I might have to do some ICM for him. Forget the stupid digital pixal camo though.
Great work. They look fantastic!
Very well done. That's a nice tribute to those that have served.

Wow! I recognized them right off. Great job. I was there in '70/'71.
Way to go
Thanks for sharing with us. Real nice job. I do the same ribbon on some of my arrows also. Had some Wraps made for my carbons with the ribbon and USMC EGA on them. They do stand out with the red and yellow fletch.
