which is better, endless loop or flemish twist. considering both performance and arrow speed.Or does it depend on the bow. Just tring to understand the proper use of both types ect.
I don't think there is any one best string,I use both endless and flemish on my bows.I use 450+,D97 and 8125.A flemish string brace height changes are alittle easier.Usally a flemish twist is a quieter string and I like the looks but have had endless string to be just as quiet, depends on which bow and which string material.
Thanks JRY309, might the fl twist be faster or visa/versa.
Endless strings are a bit faster. A bit!
At distances up to 20 yards you will not notice a difference I guess.
If your bow is FF compatible, give Tony Cochran a shout at ThreeTreeStrings. He makes all my TS-1 FF strings. Does a great job, fair price and I find them quiet and last long.

Comparing apples to apples, it's a matter of personal preferance. I can build a flemish that's faster than an endless, or vice-versa. Same material, same strand count, same serving size and length, etc. the endless will generally be a tiny bit faster.
There's ton's of myths purported about strings--some even in print, some spread by bowyers, some by "old timers"--but press for the "why do you say that" and let me know if you get a straight answer. It's usually "that's what I've always heard".
"Olympic archers use endless" is one I've heard used to claim they are "more accurate".
The best I can find out is the reason Olympic archers use endless is they are easier to reproduce consistently, especially from one string maker to the next.
Nothing wrong with using either one--I have bows with both and I make both. Each has it's benefits over the other, but none are game-changers.
Short answer, use the one you like--it will work just fine. How well the string is made will make more difference than if it's endless or flemish.

The one difference I'v seen on a cople of my bows is that the served loops seem to last longer (take more wear) than the flemish loops.
I've seen that when there was a rough spot in the string groove--the served loops seems to take the abuse better.
Again though, it's mostly a matter of personal preferance. Once in a while you'll run across a bow that "likes" one type string (or material) better than another, but that is the exception.

Thanks again Chad,Helpful info for sure.I have noticed a proformance difference between string types with my one bow.
what chad said x2.
