I am planning to switch over to fletch tape and wanted to see if anyone has experience with both brands?
I am particularly interested in fletching aluminum shafts.
Thanks
Dave
never heard of it till now.
Thanks!
Sure looks similar....may be the same..?
I've had absolutely no issues at all with Bohning tape. Thats all I use on my aluminum shafts. Works great!

First I've heard of bearpaw fletch tape. I do use bohning and I like it alot, both carbon and aluminum shafts.
Bohning tape is great, I have even used it to attach a leather side plate to my longbow,

I should add the I've been very happy with the bohning...just haven't tried the bear paw.
Thanks for posting this. I'm wondering the same thing.
I will wade in with my experience.....as a tape guy I had used Bohning only until I picked up a roll of the Bearpaw at a shoot this summer.
I am just one guy and maybe my experience is out of the ordinary but I had quite alot of adhesion issues with the Bearpaw that I never had with Bohning. Had fletching coming undone with arrows just sitting in the house.
In using Bohning for quite a long time prior to this I had never had any sort of issues like I had with the PB.
Not "hating" on the Bearpaw but I ended up tossing what was left (after learing the hard way) and going back to the ol' reliable Bohning.
Again, I may have run into a bad roll or something but wanted to pass it along. I won't buy anything but Bohning again in the future.
Thanks John for sharing. I will go with Bohning since it has worked so well for so many archers.
Just tried the Bearpaw tape this week. No issues so far. I think the Bohning is a little better quality, but costs a bit more also.
might be made by the same manufacturer ? Who knows ?
Tape has a shelf life I am told. If it gets old (on the roll) it will not stick as well when applied.

That's been my suspicion as well. Certainly not uncommon with a number of products, not just with Bearpaw, but other well-known retailers as well.
Either way, I've been using the Bearpaw tape with no problems so far.
I have used both and IMO Bohning is much better. I have had issues with bear paw adhesion. I will only buy Bohning now.
I use bohning on carbon and aluminum shafts also use on shafts that i have capped with various paints. I have had no issues at all with the bohning. Have never used the bearpaw brand.
X3 on the issues with Bearpaw, especially in hot weather. I have had arrows taped on with bohning for 2-3 years, till I wore the feathers out, and no problems!
