I am currently shooting a Stewart Lil Slammer, 45# @ 28. I draw 27.5. I am looking for some help regarding the Arrow Dynamics Trad Lite arrows. These 30" arrows behave like they are slightly over spinned. I would like to cut them down and inch to match some of my other arrows. I know I will have to add weight to the front. Currently, I am shooting 125 grain field points. How heavy should I go to start with?

Don't cut them....... :nono: If you think they're over spined now you're just asking for more trouble.
I shoot 44 to 47#@28 and cut them 29", but I use steel adapters and with point on they weight 570 grains on the black color shafts. The arrow weights about 300+ grains and with the up front weight fly like darts. Ken
You'll never know if you don't try. Experiment with one of your shafts. No sense wasting the entire batch. What Ken Denton has suggested should work for you, but you won't know unless you try.Good luck. Enjoy the journey.
For me I wouldn't cut them,you say they are already showing alittle stiff.Cutting carbons they will stiffen up quicker then you would think.I would add alittle more where they are now and see what kinda of flight you get.For me with carbons I let my tuning determine their final length.I have a few bows of different weights and their arrows are all different lengths.You say you would like them the same length as your other arrows,do you use your point for gap shooting.
You can cut a carbo just a little and it will have a big effect on flight. My experience is I can't ad enough weight up front to compensate for the difference. However, give it a try...you will only sacrafice one shaft.
AD Lites spine out to 35/55. Leave them at 30" but increase your weight up front.
I draw 27" and cut my AD Lites 28.5" but...I installed a 100 gr brass insert, 35 gr broad head adapter and shoot both 125 and 160 gr broadheads.
they fly nice...I don't like long arrows because of my aiming method. If I left them 30", I could have probably used a 50 gr brass insert.
Do not cut them any shorter if you feel they are stiff now. Increase your FOC. Minimum 250 grains up front.

Most of the flex is in the taper...so cutting them will NOT have the same effect as other shafts. It may effect it a little, but not like the norm for sure....that's one reason these shafts are so adaptable to so many variations of bow weights and point weights.
All mine are cut to 29 inches (trad regulars) and they shoot from all of my bows from 58 to 70 pounds with heads weights from 150 to 225.
I have one bow that didn't like the regulars and it loves the lites for what ever reason, and they too are cut 29. I like for all my arrows to be the same length.
Try cutting one and see.....and try some different point weights,...I don't think you are going to cut your way out of business. Do let me know how it works out,....I'm interested in knowing.

Well, I thought I would post an update. I cut the AD Trad Lites to 29" and added 100 gr brass inserts. They fly like darts with 125 grain heads or 225 total weight up front.
