Title: Easton Legacy arrows
Post by: inthere10x on February 02, 2012, 08:29:00 AM
I was given a gift certificate for Christmas and decided to give Legacy aluminium arrows a try.
My set is a Stewart Slammer LB 49@28", my draw is 28" and shoot split finger.
Legacy 2018 cut to about 29 3/4", 3 - 5" feathers and a 175grn point sound about right??
If not what size/length/point weight Legacy arrow would you recommend for my set up?

Thanks

All bows shoot a little different. 2018's could be perfect or it might be 2016's with the same set-up. If you have a chance to bareshaft both, you will find which one will be the best for this bow and your shooting style.

I shoot about 50 pounds at 29" out of my 60" Palmer and the 2018's were too weak for me.  I then tried the 2117 cut to 30.5" with 150 grain tip and they flew great.

BTW, I shoot 3-under with a pretty deep hook since I have some arthritis issues/pain in my fingers.

Good Luck

I think the 2018 would be a close fit. I shot a 2018 out of my bow some last year and it flew fine. I am shooting a 54# @ 27.5" Tomahawk diamond series.

I would go for the 2016's at that poundage and draw length. 2018's are pretty heavy. You would have a flatter shooting arrrow with a 2016.

I am shooting 56# at 28 with a 27 1/2 draw length have been shooting 2018's with 175grain tip and they fly like darts. My 48# pound bow will shoot 2016's my opinion would be that the 2018s are going to be to stiff for you..

2018s sound about right with the 175 grain heads at that length  .  Wouldn't go to 2016 with that length and that head .

HHA Halfbreed.  2018s...54@27 with 160gr field points work very well.

I prefer woodies tho....  :p

That sounds pretty close.  I shoot a Pronghorn 3-piece that draws about 57 pounds at 28.5 inches and it seems to like a 2018 with 150 grains up front best in the Legacy shaft.  Arrows are 30.25 inches in length.
