Title: Bear Grizzly
Post by: Jason Hansen on February 01, 2012, 08:09:00 PM
A question for all you fellow tradgangers...

My father recently purchased a beautiful used Bear Grizzly...serial number #9R2106.  I would like to find out the year of manufacture of this bow.  From what I've found, it appears it was manufactured in 1969.  Can anyone clarify that for me?  Also, I'm looking to purchase a vintage Bear quiver as a gift...roughly the same year his bow was made.  What bow mounted quiver would that be?

Thanks!

You will probably get more action on this, on the Trad/history collecting forum.

It should be a 69 with that serial number. The 68-70 were a 56" AMO. Double spring arm quiver would be correct for that year.

Thanks, I also posted this over in the other forum too.

Thanks Jack.  I've seen a few of those double spring arm quivers on the auction sites.

The quivers come up pretty often. I've sold four or five extras I had in the last year or so. I don't think I have any extras right now though.
