Did Norm Johnson( Blacktail bows) ever make a stalker recurve out of "action wood"?   :dunno:

Do not quote me on this, but I believe that he made a "hunter" model that was made to be a little more economical.  I am not sure when he stopped making them and what  material was used.  I have seen some older Blacktail bows on this site that look to be made of actionwood or something similar.Brian

I had a blacktail hunter just like the one on the brochure, they were great bows. The grip was outstanding and the bow was fast and quiet. My friend has it now, a couple of years ago I drew it back a few times for old times sake, there was a lot of moaning and groaning, creaking popping and other assorted noises, none of them came from the bow. 65#@27" and I remembered why I had to sell it.
