Title: Wyoming DIY hunt next fall
Post by: Coonbait on January 30, 2012, 08:11:00 PM
My son and I are looking into a Do-It-Yourself hunting trip to Wyoming next fall. I haven't been to Wyoming in almost 30 years to hunt Mule deer and Antelope. The ranch I used to hunt on was sold and leased so now I'll be looking at public ground and the walk-in areas.I'm most familiar with the area around Lusk (Region B). I was told that the deer and antelope herds are way down in this region, is anyone able to tell me if this is so? I'm not a road type hunter, matter of fact I'm quite the opposite. I like to get off the beaten path and hunt! And I'm not looking for trophies. Just animals to hunt.
Any Help would be Appreciated!
Glenn

Check with WY DNR, I believe you must draw a non-resident tag, depending on area.

If you are OK with does, you can get leftover tags cheap.Like 30 dollars or so.And there are tons of does to be had.If you want a buck tag, you'll have to draw a tag, and it is more expensive.
