Ya know, some fellas just are never satisfied....yup, talkin' 'bout me-self here! I have a 62" Whip, 53@ 28" and I pretty much pull 28" due to recent corrections in form. I have some MFX 500's at 29" that are shooting pretty well. Yes, I SHOULD be satisfied but dang me if I don't go and read someone's comments in TradBow and elsewhere on the wonder, the beauty, the majesty of the wooden shaft and how wood shafts and wood bows are a marriage made in heaven, or some such. So if a fella was to go and head and look at some wood arrows, finished and ready to shoot of course, and this fella was to be shooting said-woodies out of the bow above, what would ya'll with the experience-type folks suggest?? Once again, I humbly bow deeply in respect to your superior levels of experience in such things and greatly appreciate any acorns of intelligent thought which you may drop forth upon me. Thank you and yes, I might be a bit touched but aren't we all??
If your looken to get them already done, the Feathered shaft (Rick ) is a good place as are other sponsors here. If you wish to make them thats a whole new ball game.I would say a 60-65# spine(maybe even 70# depending on head weight) with 160 grn head would work.
What he ^^^ said...
Check out Bearpaw custom arrows, he will set you straight and makes some beautiful arrows. Nice Ol'Fellow to chat with. I am going to get some for my new Whip as well.
Tom
Thanks fellas! Tom, how ya like the new Whip? MTB (my bow) is sa-weeet!
I would suggest sure wood shaft, and a great guy to deal with is Snag(David) at Wilderness arrows.
Oh, here I thought you were sending me some free wood shafts
Me too Joe! That seems somehow cruel!
I love it so far, just got it a week ago. Mine is 64" 53#@28", I am shooting about 56#s with it and it will fling an arrow for sure. Only thing I don't like about it is now I want another one!!! LOL....
Joe its better to find out now then sit and wait for the mail man...LOL
