I've been drooling over Robertson Styks for a long time now. It was getting to the point where I didn't even want to go to their website anymore, my Styk lust had gotten so bad. But of course, I kept going back...
And then, my perfect bow showed up on their site. It was the length I wanted. The exact riser and limb materials I wanted. The proper grip I like. And the poundage was perfect. It was as though Dick had built my bow for me without knowing it.
And that was all it took for the lust to be taken to the next step - the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

It's very much winter in my little part of the world, but I can't wait to get it outside...
Great looking bow! Congrats and good luck.
WOW...what a beauty, I love curves  ! Congrats!
Great looking bow!
Nice Bruce. Outstanding.
I love the juniper limbs!!
Nice!
First...gorgeous bow!
I remember my first Robertson back in 1986 or so. I was so thrilled, and I still have that bow today. I remember years later thinking about combining bocote and cocobolo in a riser. Nobody was doing it, and Dick wasn't sure it would look right. The first one I ever saw with these 2 woods looked rather...odd. Later, this combo of woods came into frequent use and is a staple of several good bowyers. I think the cut and style of the Fatal Styk has a lot to do with how nice they work. Very complimentary!
Congrats on your perfect bow.
man that is pretty!
Good looking recurve.
Thats a beauty! Robertson's are some of my favorites.
Eric
Just got a Robertson Mystical lb I love. Great bows! Enjoy this beauty!
Thanks, folks. I'm afraid my other bows may be gathering dust...
Funny that people used to think cocobolo and bocote wouldn't work together. Sure works well for my eyes. And I've really become fond of juniper as well - lots of cool variation and warmth to it (and I love that it actually comes from my part of the world).
Holding this bow in my hand, I'm absolutely in awe of Dick's work, and grateful to own a piece of his impressive history.
Very nice bow.
Juniper makes a beautiful limb. Really handsome bow.
I'm with you on the Juniper, Just ordered a set of new juniper limbs for my Fox recurve, I think it is going to be sharp.
-not only do those Fatal Styk's look good, they are top performers too...even without carbon in the limbs.
Fatal Styk, the best Robertson's recurve ever made.Great bow of choice, you will be pleased!
Good luck with it.
That is one beautiful shooting stick! Congrats on a fine bow. :clapper:
Very nice and I like your wood combination.
Good looking, but also a very functional tool.!
That's a real beauty. Can't wait to hear how it shoots. The Robertsons know what they are doing. Nice bow. Sir.
WOW Wow wow!
Very nice bow Smithhammer. I have a Robertson Vision Falcon with a cocobolo/osage riser and juniper limbs. Love it.
They are great shooting and greta looking bows all in one package. I know you'll enjoy it. It sound s like you already are!
Well, can't really shoot much outside right now (being winter here at 6200', and all), but I started playing around with it in our little indoor range. Dick pre-tunes the brace height and nock point on each of his bows individually before they get sent out. Granted, these shots were only at 10 yds, but I'd say it's pretty close to spot-on already:

First time I haven't had to start from scratch!
Very nice looking bow! I had a Buffalo Bow that had juniper limbs. Sweet looking for sure.
Robertson's are great shooters. You will love this bow. Beauty and performance! Good choice!
Dave
Another beauty from the boys in Montana!
Yup, Dick and family are way up at the top of the bowyer spectrum. One look at your bow explains why...........
Nice bow!
That is a great looking bow!!! Congrats
The burning question is...
how fast is it???
I got to meet a lot of the Robertson Tribe at the Barber Ranch 2 day shoot last summer. Good folks, they got the right attitude in life.
Just too bad Yana has a boyfriend :(

On the laser-calibrated Hammergraph it's consistently hovering somewhere between "Wicked Fast" and
"HOLY $%&@!!!" QuoteOriginally posted by Dan Adair:

Haha...well, yeah, I can see why you might say that... (http://www.robertsonstykbow.com/2011/11/17/i-love-to-stump-shoot/)
Beautiful bow congrates.
wow sweet - I spend a decent amount of time on that website as well :help:
Those limbs have soooo much character.... Glad you got your long awaited bow...enjoy
Warning. Never take Robertson Sykbow up on that tryout option. They send you a brand new bow and you keep it. My Pierce Point longbow was purchased like that. The Stu Miller speed charts do not match this bow at all. It is 52 pounds at my 26" draw, it would have to be a 60 pounder with the same arrow to match the reflex/deflex charted speed.
