Title: Custom Shooting Glove Craftsman ?
Post by: duncan idaho on January 29, 2012, 02:18:00 AM
Being a confirmed glove user, I have often like the features of several gloves, but, would like to combine those features into one glove. Anyone familar with a leathersmith that would make you a custom glove to your specifications? Thank you. Bill

If you look in the sponsor banner there are many leather guys who do some great work.

I did a quick search on Bing and Google and there was very little info on the first 2 pages for someone who would make a custom fit glove. This might be a hard find.

Don't know if you are aware, American Leathers makes gloves based on an outline of your hand that you can either fax or email them.  I did this with my bigshot glove.  You might want to check with them.

Thanks for the responses. I have tried several Bigshot gloves and while they are excellent, I have found them to "groove" very fast, including the nylon one. Lots of leathersmiths making arm guards and knife sheaths, but, have not found one that makes gloves.

I have a freind that makes custom Base Ball Gloves for the Pros. No, the Pros don't wear the gloves they promote. They are all custom gloves.

He can make anything. But, you would be looking at $50 - $75 to make.

i customized a ew bate man glove cut 1/4 inch off the tips a great glove ferguson at one time used the very same of course its the delux 100% cordovn i got arighty .but ive switched to llefty thinking about a new yeah old school you have to break it in then it lasts the rest of your life.there is something to be said for having one finger above the nock to control the arrow.really slick with a little baby powder.im sure howard hill was thinking about a smooth realease when he picked up his glove.
