from a 40#@28 recurve? I was surprised that the 2213 I shot the other day flew great, til I lost it. LOL Not looking for wood. Just carbon and aluminums. thx
I like Beman MFX Carbon Classics. I shoot 600's out of 40-48# draw weights. I use different weights up front for tuning.
With my 42# @ 30" recurve, since it's cut 3/16" past center with a 1/8" thick side strike plate and shooting a 32" BOP (back of point) aluminum arrow, I can shoot a 2212 (my present setup), a 2213, a 2215 and a 2117.
Keep in mind the point weights are different for each size aluminum arrow.
I shoot 1916s and 1816s out of my 43# Quinn Stallion. I put a little more weight on the tip with the 1916s. 1816s might work for you.
thx guys !!! I have a 40# Samick Sage that shoots really well. Just looking for something to shoot long term if I decide to keep it.
A .600 spine carbon left full length would be a good arrow to start bareshaft tuning with.
My set-up
I recently started shooting Easton full metal jackets I like them alot. I really like the 75 gr. Brass hidden inserts.
thx guys !!!
