Good luck, and shoot'em straight, Chris. Take lots of pics!
Good luck with the other white meat.
Was down near Toomsboro last weekend and we shot 5, but it was tough and they really only came out right before dark, right at daylight and of course tracks all over the place after dark.
Bugs were not too bad, but a thermacell is always a good thing in S GA.
Best of luck to y'all Chris. Have a great hunt.
Have fun
Oh yea,more hunting stories. :coffee:

Where's the dead pig pics? come on guys don't start a thread like that and leave the people hanging.
Well Don I have been working on getting all the pics together for a slideshow, but there isn't gonna be any good trophy pics. Heck there isn't gonna be any trophy pics at all, they got the best of us, sorry!! Got plenty pictures of the area and pig sign but thats 'bout all I have. First evening on stand everyone heard piggies but they came at dark and no shots were offered to anyone. I managed to shoot at a few squirrels and a coon before dark that night. When i was coming down from my stand I had to grab my arrows stuck under the feeder yet, only to have a couple pigs "woofing" at me to get the heck out of there! I figured this was a good sign for the rest of the weekend to come but that was pretty much the way it went. We had only 2 sightings in daylight and 1 was a nice size boar but he was a little smarter this day and made the turn before he was in range. Plenty of other animal sightings were made: coyotes, deer, turks, bobcat, even had a daggum buzzard land in the tree above me one evening, still don't know what that was a sign of! We had a group of 4 down there along the Altamaha River for 3 days and 1 arrow was released at a hog with no luck, but it comes with a great tip for future pig hunters, "Don't kiss the pig"! Lewis Ostwalt (Deerdog) tried to stop this moving pig by "kissing" at the hog on the run, which only sped up the little piggie legs and he out ran the arrow, NO PIG hence "Don't kiss the pig"!! Like most hunts with your good buddies, we had a blast and made memories to remember forever so I guess it was a successful hunt after all!
