I've been shooting GameGetter II (black shafts), and want to try Legacy shafts. The Legacys come with tapered nock end, and one may use glue-on classic nocks. However, I observed some Byron Ferguson's videos, he uses the super UNI bushing system, and super nocks, on his legacy shafts. Is it just a personal preference, or is the super UNI bushing system better than the tapered nock end?
I shoot a center shot R/D longbow, only 54" long, and 55#@28". The arrows are XX75 2016, 29-1/4" BOP, and 100 grains points. If I change to 2018 or 2020, with heavier points, will I improve something (like penetration), or will I just get heavier and slower arrows?

Advantage of the uni-bushing is the ability to rotate the nock in order to fine tune fletching clearance with the shelf; these nocks press in and are not glued. Down side (for me); uni nock snaps onto the string. It also has a narrower slot than Bohning classic nocks. I shoot 2016, 2018, 2020 and woodies; different point weights for each. I do not "see" a noticable difference in speed. I'm sure a chronograph would show the 2020's are slower. I guess it comes down to how you feel about the fit of the nock on the string.
I shot Legacy shafts for a long time and used the uni bushing system and loved it. I gives you a lot of options with tuning your fletch position. Also changing out a damaged nock is a snap. I also found it protects the nock end of the shaft, I have robin hooded a few and all I had to do was replace the uni bushing and nock as the shaft was not damaged. I think it is about the best way to go with any swaged aluminum shaft.
I just used hot melt to glue them in, this allowed for ease of replacement.
Give it a try I think you will like it.

I like the uni-bushing system,I've put them in 3 dozen of my Legacy's.I like the ability to be able to rotate them and for ease of replacement and to try different nocks.I didn't do them on my 2020's,because they don't make any uni-bushing for them.I put them in my 2016's and 2018's.
1913/1914 uni bushings will fit the 2020. However, these bushings require that you use the Easton G-nock.

I obtained Ubushings for 1916 and 2016 legacy shafts. I cut off the swaged end and installed the unis. I did it for the ability to rotate nocks and ease of replacement as stated above. Problem is, I discovered MFX Classifics (Beman carbon) soon after.
I made up only a couple of these Legacy arrows using Bohning fletching tape and then quit for the MFX.
I liked the glue on nocks of the legacy series arrows as they won't pop out on a hard impact.
I like the legacy glue on option also....when shoot groups you are more likely to just bust a nock instead of robin hooding the shaft....

Don't mean to highjack this thread but how do you change the the current swag nock end to put in uni-bushings? I just bough a dozen Legacys, 2016 and would love to change knocks. Were do i get and what size bushings?
can a person buy uni bushings for 2018's,do they make them ??

I agree with all the previous positive uni-bushing / super nocks comments. I just prefer the glue-on nocks for my Legacy shafts.
I know they consolidated inserts for the 2020,and list the new insert 1913/2020 and the X-bushing for a 1913.But they just don't fit as well as I would like them to fit so I left my 2020's for glue-on nocks.
Turkeyslayer they do make uni-bushing for the 2018.They also have X-bushing's for the 1816,1913 and 1916 that use an X-nock the same nock for Axis/MFX.
Never tried the Uni-bushings. Prefer to glue them on.
