My new Ambush from Chuck at TwoTracks was waiting for me at the Post Office after work today. I was very excited to get her home, and I was not disappointed. Beautiful bow!
I only got to shoot a couple as dark was falling fast, but I am a happy camper. Using arrows I had already, even though I still need to work out spine etc, the Ambush was much faster than previous bows.
I'm looking forward to shooting it is seriously, figuring out a hunting arrow set up, and getting ready for April. I'll be back at Ray's after hogs with the boys!

Chuck is a great guy to do business with. I had a nice chat with him this evening, and hope to talk with him more in the future.
Chuck is a GREAT guy to work with and builds GREAT bows at a GREAT price. How about all the technical stuff: woods, limb core, weight, etc. Sweet looking rig. Congratulations!
Beautiful looking bow. They are such sweet shooters. I will have my Ambush down to Ray's in March.
specs - Burgundy Actionwood riser, Actionboo / clear glass on the limbs.
49#@28"
Mike, I think Chuck mentioned you as having about the same set up. Hope you have fun at Ray's, save me one ;-)
Sweet bow Pete. So I reckon there will be 4 of Chuck's creations at Hog Camp in April!
Really love the Burgundy action wood! Thats the first time seeing this color, really nice.
Thanks Rick, I'm really looking forward to it.
South, the pics are a little deceiving. It really looks brown in the hand unless you really look close. I'm really happy with the color combo!
Nice!

I have the same set up, just different woods, but besides that, they are twins.
Mike still trying to figure out a starting point on arrows and point wt. Would you mind sharing what you are shooting from yours?
thx, Pete
Full length 11/32" douglas fir, 60-65#, 5 1/2" shield or 5 3/8" banana feathers and 125 grain heads. They fly awesome for me.
Pete, Nice talking to you as well and I hope you enjoy the bow.
The core is Amber actonboo and the riser is Burgandy Dymondwood,it is old stock. I built a Longwalker out of it using black glass, after I sprayed it,it almost went black. I was happy that it stayed lighter for this combo. Simple but classic.
Enjoy Pete,and THANK YOU.
Chuck
Cool, I have been PM'ing with snag about some woods and he had suggested 55-60# 29" with 125s. So probably about the same total spine.
I think I'm going to go with woods.
I appreciate the info
Pete
Wow is that nice!
Need to look at one this weekend over in Kalamazoo.
Josh
Thanks Josh, the string that came with is sharp as well. I'll be contacting you about a couple spares in a week or two.
Sweet bow! Well Done Chuck, and Congrats Peter!
Thanks Danny, hope all is well with you and yours!
Congrat's on your new bow, nice job Chuck
I forgot to mention my man Josh for hooking me up with the new string, colors matched great.
You can also see a pair of our new String Silencers installed. I should have a good supply of theses at the show.
Thanks all
CTT
Nice bow!
Thx DB and Scott!
Chuck is right, Josh makes a great string.
With the new silencers she is shooting quiet, and I am sure that will just get better after tuning!
sweet looking bow!
That is a sweet looking bow Pete!!! I've got an odd lot of 2016's that are too short, PM me if you want them to shoot while you build your new arrows and I'll send them your way.
Between Hog Heaven and MLA deer camp, I think most the guys I know on TG have posted in this thread
Chuck, I'll be looking for you on Friday!
Thom
