My new limbs showed up today, just before I read a post from South that they had been shipped. (Still need to make arrangements to pay for them :D ) South made them to go with my Green Monster riser. Here's pics of the riser with the longbow limbs on it.

The Static Tip Limbs have a purpleheart back and what looks like curly maple dyed green belly. The purpleheart is dark and subdued. The maple (if I have that right) is a light green. Looks great on the riser! Working on pics right now!

Sorry for the editing snafu, photobucket has been battling with my photographer!
Mike, I'm really liking that Green Monster bow! Congrats on some great looking limbs.
Looking Good boys.(it sure helped that green monster out :p )
Looking good
Nice!
Fun to shoot too! Can't wait to tune it in and put her thru her paces. Maybe I'll name her SheShrek!
Nice....I like static tip recurves.......
I am "green" with envy! Great looking bow.
Looking good!
Mike: You'll have to give us a report on how they shoot. I like those big hooks myself. Just waiting for him to put those on his 1-piece bow. Would be really sweet. Congrats RW
I've only been able to shoot in the basement and EVERYTHING seems quick down there! But, it is smooth and very quiet. Pretty impressed so far. South says the back veneers is figured purpleheart and the belly is stained curly maple. I'm digging this combo, the longbow limbs, the static tip limbs, and the color scheme.
What are your thoughts on the draw? I'm asking because I had a static tip bow and it seemed really heavy for the draw weight.
Eric, I've only shot these limbs probably 3 dozen times. From a seated position (I have a low basement ceiling). The whole draw cycle is very smooth on these. I had the same experience with my Saluki that had the siyahs on it. The bow is 51#@29" and I'm drawing close to that. So far, I'd say VERY smooth, beginning to end of draw and it feels comparable to my bows of similar draw weight..
I quess the Asbell Silent Stalker Green would be THE correct apparel to wear while shooting this bow! :D :D
Just got done shooting a couple dozen more arrows through this set-up. Man is this fun! Can't wait to get outside and really get after it!
will i get to see those static tips in action
when our league starts next week?
Yep, don't stand too close though, the flames might set your hair on fire, and as quiet as it is you won't even know it happened until the bacon starts to sizzle!
the question is the next big screen trad movie
stalker vs predator
or straight to the 4.99 dvd bin
Yep, time to video the great trad challenge of Hespotuckey 2012 :biglaugh:
