I know there's been a couple threads about bow tip protectors so thought I'd share this...
Had a pair of leather gloves that a seem tore out and was gonna toss them the other day when I thought "Hey I need one more tip protector for one of my bows"
So I cut one of the good fingers off the glove and then cut a slot to allow for the string to fit through just like the slip on leather tip protectors you buy. It works great and doesn't really look any different than the slip on protectors you buy. Actually I thought it looked better cause the stitching is on the inside rather than the outside like most other protectors that you buy.
Yeah this was a used leather glove but I know you can get cheap leather gloves for $5-8 new and you'd end up with 10 protectors.
Good idea, never thought of that.
Pretty nifty idea.
Thats a great idea.I've cut the thumb and pinky out of good quality leather gloves in the past to have an extra when guest showed up but stupid me threw the pinky away.Wont ever look at an old glove the same way again. Thanks
I should add that the one I used was from a medium size glove and it ended up with the same fit as the longbow slip-on protector I got from 3 rivers a few years ago.
great idea brother!
I would like to see a picture of this.
Great idea. :readit:
