Have you ever made two opposing feathers longer than the other two opposing ones?
I have not. If you try, please report back on your results. I would be concerned about noise. In addition, I would be concerned that the two larger ones would take over and steer instead of all 4. That may be good, I don't know'

I haven't but you could. Could also stagger the same length feathers. Shouldn't need to though unless your shafts aren't properly spine'd.
I have to change the ring in my jig to do flu flu 4 fletch and was thinking about it.
I made some up with two four inch and two two inch fletch. It made a cool looking arrow. I did not see any real difference in performance.
What is your reason for this? I don't know what the purpose would be.

Winter bordem
Well,that explains it! :knothead:
lol,
Personally I like the idea of keeping all the same.
In the end, doing different sizes most likely won't hurt a thing.
Might be cool looking to do all four a little short and have two farther up and 2 farther back....almost half and half....i dunno...quit making me daydream about this stuff....lol :smileystooges:
