Post by: 2treks on January 21, 2012, 05:28:00 PM
I have not been on a spring Bear hunt in a LOOOOOONNGG time. I would really Like to go this spring.
Who has the goods on a DIY hunt. or a simple guided hunt.

I would love to do the Bear quest, but thought I would check other things out as well.

What I would really like is a mountain states Spot and Stalk.
Lets hear what ye have to say.

If our Christian group "Godly Sportsman" we're able to find an outfitter willing to give a discount for a group hunt, who would be interested in a time of hunting, fellowship, and men of God worship

I know of a great hunt in northern Idaho in the Clear Water National Forest. It is guided hunt mostly over bait but you can also spot and stalk. If you can look up my old post
( Two Bears with a Bear ) from last spring. I killed a #400 and a #275 both color phase bears with them last spring. We are going back this June if anyone wants to come send me a PM.If you bring your own tent and food , we camp in the outfitters camp area.We can use the cook tent and the shower they have all the baits out and they tend the baits everyday. We get ourselves to the baits to hunt everyday, they will help get any bears out of the woods for us.The price is $1100 with license and 2 tags.I will post some pics later if you want or look up my old post.

This is the last spring non-residents will be able to hunt SE Alaska black bears without a guide or drawing a tag.  If you've ever thought of doing this hunt time is running short for the do it your self crowd.

Sam my wife and I hunted with my brother and his wife in the clearwater area a few years back.  Had a great time and saw a few bears  but nothing we wanted to release an arrow at.  Still we did have a great time.  Hope you guys have a great spring season up there.  We are heading to Alberta to try and find a Booner.
