What is the best to use leather or rubber.Do they hold moisture to ruin the tips?Who uses them?
Put a 1/16" hole in the end of tip protector lets the moisture out. Black Widow sells them with two holes in them.
I use baby bottle nipples. Haven't had any trouble with moisture. I get the ones that are really clear. Hard to tell its even on.

I like the Saunders rubber tips. They live on the lower limb of all my bows.
The leather ones I've tried tend to be too big and have a sloppy fit, and they don't dry out easily.
I once had a lower limb delaminate, due to a rubber tip protector. Unless you are willing to take it off, when you are inside, I wouldn't use one.
I use the rubber tip protectors and they work great.
I use a rubber tip pro. on the bottom limb only. Now I am wondering if I could use the plastic dip for tool handles and keep it just shy of the string groove,HHHMMMMMM!!
Baby bottle nipple. Hmmm, I will give that a try.
no need imo
I use the plastic dip that you get at the big lumber store. Dip the tip past the string grooves and let dry overnight, forms a water tight seal, protects from scratches. You can string the bow over the rubber and at the end of the season just peel it off.
I use the small rubber protecters from custom king. They go on easy and they stay put. Just take'em off occasionally and check the tip. No problems and no worrys about beating up your bow tip.

I use the rubber tip protectors on all my bows.
I take them off from time to time to check for moisture, and always remove if the bow gets wet from foul weather. Never had a problem.
Make sure they have a small hole in the bot.
What Jason said. If they fit your bow their just the best! Light weight won't slow your bow down, can take your string on and off with them on and they are cheap! custom king is the only place I have found them.
the bowyer we use recommends their use. He always says to take them off after use in the field, particularly when it has been wet. All of our bows have small rubber protectors on them when we shoot outside.
I occasionally spread a bit of epoxy over the tip of the tips.
I don't sand it or anything so it isn't REALLY adhered well.
It chips off now and then so I spread on a bit more.
It's clear, light, cheap, and easy.
Of course it's not going to protect against a BIG knock but it helps a lot for the little scrapes and scratches from propping up a bow against trees, touching the tip on the ground when waiting to draw etc.
I use the rubber ones on my bottom limb. I cut it short so it just cover the tip below the string groove. I sit on the ground often enough, and when I do my bottom limb sits on the ground so the bow is at the ready. Our ground is usually damp so I feel it is worth taking the tip off I get caught in the rain.
I do not use a tip protector and that is why I have a dimple in the top of my boot. Always set my bow on my right shoe top.
I just cut a strip of industrial grade velcro (pile side) and put over the last 1/2 inch or so of the tip. Dries quickly when wet and protects from scratches. If it works for the side plate and shelf itll work for the tips.
