Anyone out there use these shafts ? What do you think of them. Quality, durability, accurate spine ratings and such. Thanks for any information!

Gentlemen the CT Whitetail 35-55 shafts are by far one of the very best shafts out there. The tolerance specs are great, they are very tough and just fly and perform well. They are pricy but I save them as my go to hunting shafts. It really takes alot of abuse to destroy them and when they do impact they do not longitudinally splinter like so many other shafts. Make sure you get the 35-55 shafts if you are in the 45-55 lb draw weight range. My guess is that they are .500 spine but tune very easily. I hope this helps. tom

The Carbon Tech Whitetails are awesome arrows. Tom was actually the has that turned me on to them. They are my hunting arrows and the Bowhunter 500's Tom told me about are my beater arrows (I'd have no problem using the Bowhunter 500's for hunting). I'd have to say if you want the ultimate arrow and don't mind paying a couple extra bucks the CT Whitetails are the way to go.

How expensive are they? Can brass inserts, 50 or 100 gr. be had for these? Or maybe the stock inserts are already pretty good?

In terms of cost check out three rivers a sponsor on this site. They come stock with aluminum inserts and anything beyond that would be a personal choice.

I have been shooting these arrows out of my Leon Stewart longbow for years and they are a very good arrow. Durable and spine is consistent. Well worth the money.

I hunted the the carbon tech panthers this last years almost exclusively and the are positively a phenominal shaft.   Strength, straightness, consistency and durability they are pretty hard to beat. dino

Guys, I have a Leon Stewart Slammer and when I picked up the bow, I asked Leon what arrow to use, and he said Carbon Tech - made me up a dz. Whitetails 3555. Spendy but in the long run they will last a long long time, so maybe less expensive. I do want to buy products made in USA. Carbon Tech appear to be imported.

fmscan - A few of us guys that are shooting Leon's bows are using the Carbon Tech arrows. Leon finally talked me into using them after years of shooting wood arrows. What a difference it made by switching to the Carbon Tech carbons versus shooting wood.
