A few fellas got out yesterday in Selkirk and we had a blast. Single digit temps and almost zero snow had us a bit worried but we wound up moving about 40 or so with who knows how many shots taken. Six shots counted
Shawn : 2 Bunnies
Timmy K : 2 Bunnies
Jamie : 1 Bunny down and a couple of pass throughs that got away and as youd expect from Jamie, at least 3 diving tackles.
Me: 1 Bunny
Homer : 1 Boone and Crocket Bull Field mouse. Damn near got him. Lots and lots of laughs and lots and lots of shooting, a super day.

Sounds like fun!!! With the deer season ending yesterday I have been thinking about a bunny safari myself!
Sounds like another good time was had in Selkirk and you got guys did great for having no snow.Good shooting on the little rodent Homer.I swear Jamie likes tackling more than shooting 'em...did he play football back in his school days or what?!? :dunno: :p
Good shootin' Izzy! See some of that Solana magic is still attached :)
Our deer season ended as well. I am thinkin' a tree rodent stalk and wabbit stomp is in my future as well. Way to go!!!
Congrats, this weekend me and a few are going to try our luck!
Wish we had some around here. What a great way to spend a day! Thanks for sharing it.
I took a "therapy walk" today in single digits. PT told me to get out and WALK as that torn ham string is giving me fits more now that I quit work!
Saturday, I did a couple miles on public land with the bow for deer (? Do they still exist in E. PA) and didn't even see tweetie birds in the wind and cold.
Today, was just a planned walk around the block for exercise and headed down a dead end street to a old "tree nursery". The uneven frozen ground seemed a better 'workout' than sidewalks.
I bounced a bunny too! But that boy took off like I had a load of 6's after his fanny...I stood and laughed. I dont think I could have unloaded the string that quickly!
Excellent fun the way it sounds...so nice to get out with buds and just hoot and hollar and have fun! Tasty too!
Cool Beans
I need a fun outing like that, Excellent!!!!!
You da man , that bow of yours is full of all kinds of "MOJO"!! Great shooting. Every time you post a pic of ""HER"" it's really not good for me. :banghead: Someday i'll have one.
shhh I thought I saw wwabbit.
Bunnies are great but single digits! Nice job men
sounds like a great day !! makes me wish we still had rabbits.
Congrats on the bunnies guys. Always a fun time to be had in Selkirk. Who shot the mouse btw? :notworthy:
We had a bunny hunt the 1st week in Jan. It was the first time in many years we never even got a chance to shoot at one. Rabbit numbers seem extremely low this year in Illinois.
Way to go guys , nice shooting
I thought about getting out but the population is very low here and for the last few years. I don't want to be the guy to shoot the last rabbit standing! But a pie would be nice...
That is what its all about-HAVING FUN
Really sorry I had to back out of the hunt at the last minute fellas. But we "have to choose our battles" at home sometimes
Used to be a blast here too. Now, yotes, fox, eagles, hawks have them nearly cleaned out.
It was a lot of fun fellas but to be truthful hangin with those heathens makes it a hoot bunnies or not. These fellas are shooters.
Timmy drilled a speeder running past us at warp speed and rolled it with a blunt to the neck. I heard a few others get whumped but the only shots I actually witnessed were mine and Timmys.
Curt, we've all been there. A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. You wont be seeing me out and about for a week or two. Ill be doing a lot of romancing, you know?,,, flowers, dinners and such. A week or two of that should earn me another bunny hunt.
Congrats. Sweet looking bow !!! :notworthy:
Bill
Sometimes I wish I could be two places at the same time... :( Maybe next time fellas...
... mike ...
* By the way Izzy... "Buuuuuunny is spelled with two n's! :p
:bigsmyl:
David
Wish I could have been there guys.
Congrats to all. I know the laughs you were all having! Sounds like a great day even with the conditions.!
I got one, assisted Tim with another, and hit and lost another. Such is hunting I guess.
I got the mouse. He saw Homer, turned and ran right at me. I let fly. Popping his jaws and hair standing on end! I feared for my life....or at least my pinky toe.
A great time. Thanks guys, I needed that.
Good stuff Izzy.
YEAAAAP!!!!!!! :clapper:
Izzy you made alot of guys jealous :-) telling about chasin Bunnies !!
We have a good crop this year. I am up to 21tails in my "head" count. We had a skift of snow this morning, and I needed it to find all the arrows in the wild roses, but I went with the boss to the movies, as I promised her.
Go going, I always think a bunny is just under a deer's vital area, so it is great practice
Sounds like lots of fun. Love chassing those things.
Sounds like a fun time was had by all!
Congrats,
Bisch
