Hey Gang, This is the followup of the DIY stumper arrow video some of you may have seen awhile back. I finally did some experiments with these things to see if I could break one or at least bury an insert. Not a chance!
This was also a test of the highest frame-rate that my new camera can do, so I got some really nice slow-mo out of it...

Enjoy!
Impressive!
I sent a link to my friend in Arkansas since he's always looking for an arrow that will stand up to his stumping.
God bless,Mudd
Nice shooting. Since I started footing my carbons with aluminium I haven't broken or driven an insert back into a stumping arrow yet.
Davie, Good tread. Some tough arrows. I foot my carbons with 1.5" aluminum. Never seen footing that long, Does not seem to affect your arrow flight.
What is the length of the aluminum footing? And do you have the shafts re-inforced at the nock end of the shaft? I have had some shafts split at the nock end from the energy transfer until I footed them.
WOW I thought I was out of the main stream buy useing 2 inches of 2117 that looks like 6 :scared: inches. Impressive :notworthy: now how does he keep the nocks from popping out? :archer2:
If you guys search his vids on youtube he has one on how he makes them...yes the nock is footed.
