I went out tonight for the last day of our MO archery deer season, it was pretty windy and I didn't expect much. At about 5:15 this one came by and gave me a good shot, all be it, it was a little longer shot than I like, about 30-35 yards it turns out. At the time it looked good so I took it, all turned out just fine!
I was shooting my 1962 Bear Grizzly 62" 45#@28" the arrow was a 500gr. 1970's vintage cedar tipped with an old green Bear razorhead
This was a fine way to end the deer season!

Outstanding and congrats! Nothing like pushing it to the end; that's about the last ten minutes of light.
:bigsmyl:  nice looking deer!! Congratulations Sir
Thanks all, Fletcher it was sunny out and it's starting to stay light longer down this way, so I had plenty of daylight . Didn't even need a light to find my arrow or drag out the deer. Also didn't break my arrow, it's good for the next huntin trip.
The deer ran about 60 yards and I heard the crash so I ate an apple I had taken with me and climbed down, no need to wait till dark.
It was a very rewarding hunt, I had been holding out for a nice buck back in the early part of our season, but after gun season I was happy to get anything, it had gotten real slow around here!
Kenny & Tim, I guess I'm a big kid finally, I can grow a beard! Lol Maybe Mary and I will see you guys at the UBM next month?
Nice

TJK68, The quiver is from Art Vincent at Cedar Ridge leather. Mine is a 4 arrow. Ron Laclair sells one thats very similar in 4 arrow or 6 arrow. I really like it, it works great.
Thanks guys
