Was at a rendevouse today shot two rounds ,self bow and recurve. Was in the third round just goofing and that little voice came and started talking to me. Said my good buys and was out of there . First stand was only ten minutes away. Howled one in but would not come in close. Second stand Did two greating howls waited a few minutes and did three chalenge howls ,got an immediate chalenge back. Did anouther and got one from the back of me real close. Was looking for the one in that came in my back . Seen this dark thing coming in fast it slows at about 150 yards out and starts walking in but starting to vearing away . Holy @#$@@ Its the black one. Still had the howler gave two barks and he puffs up and in he comes troting in to the decoy tail tucked between his legs and he's on fire. gets between me and the decoy and the arrow on its way. Oh No Hit too far back. He spins and hits the after burnners . gets 50 yards and spins again and takes of. Wait a bit and find my arrow.

It had some blood on it . No blood on the ground . Dang. Started tracking it it left foot prints but they was few and spred out, orchard got irigated a few days back. At about 80 to 100 yards I start finding blood, just little spots but looking lots better. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v683/timkoi/016-2.jpg)

I agree with Dogboy.....you're hell on the yotes. Looking at this ones coat/undercoat I can see why he'd appear black when moving or with the wind blowing. Nice Kill!

You are undoubtedly the best there is on hunting and killing song dogs, sir! And, you even stalk them and kill them too..........with trad bows!
Folks, this guy can't be human.
Coyotes are one of the toughest trad bow trophies I can think of. And you just keep pounding them! I am in awe :notworthy: :notworthy: :clapper: :clapper:
Wow! You sure do have a way with the coyotes, congratulations on another fine one.
-Jay
when are you coming to Ohio next? Need to clear some out of here!
You could write a book on this topic.
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing an of course, CONGRATS
CRAZY!!!!!
That's a really pretty coyote Tim.
Good shooting.
I am with Whip. I am impressed. Well done man.
A stalk on a sleeper and a called in coyote in a week. COOL!
What is the decoy? and how do you deploy it? Please.
CTT
im very impressed just like everyone else, congratts!....how many is that so far?
teach us oh great one.. :notworthy:
What are your equipment choices? Camo, broadhead, bow, etc.....Thanks
You are doing a number on them in that area, keep up the good work!
Seriously AMAZING!
Looks like his ego got the best of him...just had to run the intruder off his territory.
Fooling their always suspicious nature into coming in is awesome in itself, and THEN you gotta draw and hit them. It`s like trying to hit smoke in a stiff wind.
AMAZING!!! :notworthy: :campfire:
Very..very cool! This is something Ive always wanted to do. You've gotta tell us..how you set up, call, etc... two in a week with traditional gear is crazy. Awesome job!!
Come on man, Secrets?
Jason
Well done that has to be exciting.
You are deadly congrats.
Congrats!!
You are a coyote's worst nightmare!
Wow that is amazing. :notworthy:

Gonna have to start calling you MR. Thumper Dunker!! you are da man!!!! congrats.
Wow, you know how to get it done!
I love shooting at coyotes when they come by but I must not have as many in my area as you do.
You are Coyote Killin' machine!
Its all been stated, You are the "Coyote Destroyer"
Thats AWESOME!!!!!!! I called on into 20 yards yesterday, wasn't ready, busted me reaching for my bow! He came in within 30 seconds, running right to 20 yards, stopped broadside, right where I wanted him, stupid me!
Congrats! Excellent job a true trophy.
Yup, you should write a book! Congrats!
I hunted coyotes professionally for 7 years. Yettttttttttttt , Never killed one with a bow.
I do know how difficult it is though and you are the man.
From my experience I would say that the deke is almost a must to distract so that you can kill with a bow unless you just get lucky.
Coyotes have it all,. Nose , eyes and ears,plus very wary. ;
Difficulty scale of 10. they are a 10.
Congratulations and God bless, Steve
Thanx for sharing, great job with the hunt, pictures and takin us along.
TD-that is an awesome kill and I congratulate you on one of the toughest trad trophy's of all!
Very nice and you are a brutal dude! Thanks.
Kenny :bigsmyl:
whats up with the orange broadhead. Do you use this as a aiming point.
WOW!!! I really want one with my longbow!
Congrats on the yote.
Bisch
Thumper you are one Coyote Killin' Machine!!  :notworthy:
 Nice
Rusty
What a thrill! nice shooting.
You are the yote master.Good job!
Thanks For the words guys. Its realy not that hard to call them in .The hard part is getting them in close and keeping myself quiet. I put the decoy up wind if possible and at my farthest might be 25 -30 yards. Sit there for a bit then start calling.I like to call for maybe a minute every two to three minutes. for about ten minutes . Sit back and see what happens. If you see one that hangs up to far out (most will)try to sqeek them in. Thats with distress type calls ,rabbit deer fox ect.Theres all kinds of CDs out there on this stuff. Most are rifle stuff but the calling is the same. I use all hand calls too cheap to get a e caller. I carry too much stuff with me any way. I only get shots at maybe 10% of the ones that do get close ,most never come in real close. While chassing them with my bow I might of called in 35 to 40 sense july and shot at eight or nine and taken 5.
Tim, you are THE yote man!!
Awesome story and great shot on a tough target
TD I enjoy your rabbit and coyote posts :) Thanks for sharing
Excellent, could you show a better pic of your decoy?

Thats seems like pretty good percentage with a longbow.
Pretty cool MR.Thumper Dunker
Congrats, man! Sounds like an exciting hunt!
Another awesome hunt, Congrats!
Wow thats awsome!!!
Im just getting into this as well and have a couple of qestions.
1 Could you take a pic of your blind for us?
2 How far do you move in between sits?
3 and how long do you wait untill you move to a diff. setup?
Thanks
Ben
You da Man :clapper:
All I can say is WOW!! That is a good looking song dog, it sure would make a great mount.
That is an incredible accomplishment. those dad burn things give the meaning "Jump the string" a whole different perspective. You must have an extremely quiet set up on your bow. most the arrows i've flung at coyotes, the dog had spun and taken two steps before the arrow got there.
the decoy must be the trick, but I'll bet your bow is dead silent too. congrats!
Tim. your the man you have hunting skills and bow skills.
