Title: Season ender
Post by: BrushWolf on January 14, 2012, 11:57:00 PM
I went out again today and let's just say I came home a smiling fool! This has been one of the best years with my recurve. With alot of credit going to the members of tradgang. Thanks guys. The old girl fell to a well placed 5 yard shot with a 4 blade Zwickey Delta. My 54# handmade bow performed flawlessly. This big doe is the third deer of the year I've taken with this setup.                                          (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k592/jet26photos/100_8607-1.jpg)                                              (http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k592/jet26photos/100_8604-1.jpg)

A Zwickey to the heart is SURE to bring a smile EVERY TIME!

Great pics!

A five yard shot on a late season whitetail means you are one sneaky dude!

Great Season. Congrats on that old wary doe.  To get a 5 yard shot this late in the game is a feat all its own.

That bow you made is stunning.

Thanks guys! Nothing like finishing up on a note like this one. Stan- I used a ground blind setup on her. She never knew I was there. That was one of the really rewarding things.... fooling her.

Great job on the doe. I really like your bow, did you design it yourself or from a kit? Either way she is a beauty!

JMR the bow I used is my own design, but when I started building they were kits. I have been working on a new bow. I plan on using it on a hog hunt. It's an all new design I hope to get to try out.
