Title: Day One wool
Post by: Grabwad on January 13, 2012, 09:28:00 PM
I recently purchased Day One wool.  I first bought a pair of uninsulated pants and an insulated vest.  This worked real good but wanted a thicker pants.  I ordered the insulated pants and they had a Christmas special so I bought the jacket as well.  I'm from So. Louisiana so my experience with heavy clothes is limited but I love this stuff.  Man I'm really impressed with the quality and the insulation.  no problem shooting with the jacket.

Just a review for anyone considering their wool.  I hunted in 21 degree temps recently and I was cozy without the vest.  I'm ready for your midwest temps next yr!!

I have the Wool pants in ASAT...kept warm and dry last week. Not too heavy and not too light plus a light layering and you will stay cozy...plus they are made right here in Colorado.

Over the past few years, I've bought pants, shirts, pullovers and a vest from them. Everything was top quality.

I considered the wool but I was concearned they might be just a little too warm for bow season in New York.

Glad they worked out for you. How cold does it get down there?

Although I can't comment on the Day One wool, I can say, I just got the fleece coat in predator deception and just love it! Perfect coat for bowhunting!

Day One rocks...as JS said "made in Colorado"

The temps down here get in the humid 20's occasionally. Not very often.  I mainly bought them for my trips to Midwest and in event it gets cold enough down here.

I don't even break it out unless it gets really cold, but it has kept me warm in -35 windchills during our late season here in Michigan.  I have the lined pullover, lined vest, unlined pants and lined bibs.  Good stuff.
