Black beauty...a mean looking bow.

Thanks Everyone !!! Tracey and Dave did a GREAT job building what I imangined. And then whent beyond that!!!! and Man this thing shoots I am having them build a longbow in same look and grip. What the wood is called I don't know I know it has ash limb and I think a strip of bambo in the core of the limb and antler tips. I have never been much into how a bow looked just how it fit me and how it shot. In this case I got all three!! they made the grip to my spec's and man does that thing SHOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! Now it's up to me to have it live up to it's name. When I first thought about it I thought long sweeping cuved limbs with ivry tips sounds like a Cape Buffilo to me and nick name EMBOGO (Black Death) just seemed to fit! I may even try to get that new longbow in there two peice take down style they are playing with!! I will get pic's of it strung tonight and post them.

Here is some info on the bow. The riser is Black onyx and Red/grey Dymalux and has our new grip option on it . The limb laminates are White Ash with black and grey stained with our new, signature "River Camo"
-
David, can you explain the grip option and also do you have any pictures you could share of your new takedown you will debut at kalamazoo or are you waiting till then to reveal it? I am not going to make it so I would like to see it what type of takedown system are you using? Thanks
-
How gratifying it is to hear that one is certainly pleased.
-
Beautiful, Congrats!!!
-
Man, that's a great looking bow!! I bet they shoot as good as they look.

This grip option has a thumb locator/groove and a little higher wrist than the standard St Joe River Grip. It can be varied and adjusted to fit each individual, since we don't do any machining. Anyone who orders a bow from us can get a fully customized bow down to the grip.
Takedown bow pictures and more info coming tomorrow morning. Very exciting! Getting picture taken right now and downloaded to the computer. We are hoping a second one (recurve this time) will be done in time for Kazoo. There will be a thread here in the morning so please look for it, and ask any questions you may have.
-
Look forward to it. Thanks for answering my grip?
