I was finally able to be in the right place at the right time. I moved this year and am hunting all new ground, all public land that is pretty hard hit. Seems like I have been behind the 8 ball for quite a while now and frustration was getting pretty high. I decided I would go out and sit a new stand that I had hung a couple days ago. Figured to sit a couple hours and get back for church, note to self, can't kill a deer, retrieve it and make church in the same morning. :nono: I had only been in the stand for 30 minutes when I hear a deer running in from behind me. Ended up being three of them and they got by me without offering a shot I was willing to take. Dang, bad luck is still with me. Oh, wait a minute, I hear another one coming. She runs in and stops in an opening. Pick my spot and see the arrow streak thru her, I'm thinking a little low, heart shot. She runs off and I see her go down. Sweetness. Shot her with my new Centaur, glass model, 60" 44@28, CE Heritage 150's, 29 1/2", STOS 160 mounted on a 100 grain insert, total arrow weight is 600 grains. Had a complete pass thru and the shot was 22 yards broadside.

Did the best I could on these self portraits. This one shows the entry hole, it was a low heart shot.

Here she is ready to roll on my traditional ATV. These deer carts are worth their weight in gold. It's a walk-in area and I'm a good stretch from the pickup.
