I was out last week hunting Desert Muleys and got some footage I thought I'd share with you all. I hope you enjoy it..... Terry
Arizona Desert Mule Deer (http://youtu.be/YcR_c2GvW6w)
Nice video, Terry. Looks like you have a good area. Lots of stickers there!
Pretty cool. Reminds me a little of southern New Mexico. Tough country and tough deer. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hi Terry,
How ya doing? Nice video! Brings back memories of hunting the desert.
Oh..looks nice and warm too! High tomorrow is to be 39 up here. Do you have a stinky piggy tag Terry?
Nice sights ...cool music....well done!!
Ahhhh- memories!! Awesome. I am jealous. . javis, lions, coues' deer, and mulies. ALL in one place.
These midwestern young guys need to forget trying to own their corner 80 and food plots, yada yada. . .and head west- hundreds of thousands of acres- FREE!
Enjoyed the video and music,thanks.
Thanks for sharing this video. It was very nice.
Glad you guys are enjoying the video..... I let the javie app deadline slip away from me. I figured I'd pick up a leftover first come first serve tag but they were sold out for my unit this year, so I don't have a javie tag in pocket. The beauty of bowhunting AZ this time of year is that you can almost hunt anything that moves in the desert. I will be sharing a little story of an encounter I had on this hunt that I consider a very rare encounter. I still have to edit the video........ Thanks...... Terry
Hey Terry that Big fork at the end of your video looks like he has a piece of antler in his neck?
Blake
Cool!
Terry, what area were you hunting? South of Tucson? I moved back to Indiana from Phoenix a few years back. Your video really made me miss the desert.
Blake...... I couldn't figure out if that was antler in his neck or a chunk of Cholla. That buck had me puzzled on several counts. Our typical desert Muleys have narrow, high racks, and usually not a lot of mass, the real good ones will have deep forks. There were a couple of real good ones in this area two seasons ago I was hoping to meet up with. When I saw this big forkie I was amazed at how wide he was. At first I thought he was an old regressive buck but after looking at him in the videos I would have a hard time placing him over 4 1/2 years old. He actually is a 3x2 if you look close. I looked the mountain over real good and he was the big boy in there this year so far. I am heading back out next weekend for another go at it.
JJB2..... That area is definitely in southern AZ... :D .... Terry
Very cool, definitely made me nostalgic. I'd be ambiguous on the location too...
Great video the song fits good also. I am going down to arizona next week to chase deer in the beautiful desert. This just added fuel to my fire to get down there. Do you think they will still be rutting?
Great stuff.
Helo the peak of the rut may have passed when you get here but post rut hunting has some good advantages too.
I was out all of last weekend. The whitetails were still going at it hard.
MAP
That is exceptionally cool!
Dave
Great video  I looked at that same moon all last week Javie hunting, I had two shots and missed they where coming out at dark feeding all night and headed to there beds at day break.
Nice!! I plead ignorance but who is the band? I love the tune!
chris <><
The band is the The Jayhawks (http://www.jayhawksofficial.com/band.html) ... Terry
Hey AZ Stickman I am getting closer to heading out. I keep looking at your video to keep me patient.
Good Luck Helo......Let us know how you do...... Terry

Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching it.
Man that 3 X 2 at the end is WIDE. Nice vid thank you.
Thanks for the tips Terry, I hope to get some pictures as good as yours.
Nice video, Terry. It was very nice.
Pretty cool. Any of you guys ever hunt around Kingman, AZ? My brother in law lives there. He lives just north of town in the Halipuia mountains. Not sure of the spelling, but have visited a couple of tines & have thought about trying to hunt there someday. He is not a hunter. Thanks.
I have never hunted around Kingman but have a friend that lives there and he seems to enjoy hunting the area with good success..... Terry
Hi Terry,
I know & have seen elk & deer on his mountain. Occasional mountain lion too. My brother in law said most of it is open to hunting. Antelope at the airport where his hanger is just out of town. From what I have heard getting tags can be very hard though. Not sure if that is true.
Cool video. Nothing like open country muleys..
In AZ archery deer south of the ditch is over the counter with no draw. The season runs the full month of january and the last couple of weeks in December. You would have to look at the regs to see exactly which units are open. Archery javelina also runs the full month of January. This hunt requires you to get drawn but has very good odds. You can also hunt a large variety of small game and quail with only your hunting license . Lion tags can be purchased over the counter. ... Terry
Thanks for the info Terry. My wife & I both work full-time nights plus go to school, but may have to visit the inlaws next year during the break. We stay at their house when we visit.

I live in Kingman and know that the rifle guys do well in the Hualapais sometimes. However, most of the folks I know usually hope to draw the sections around the Grand Canyon and south of Williams.
My daughter and I ride into the foothills on our Polaris Ranger and happened upon a really good dear around sundown the other day.
But I am happy shooting at the giant jackrabbits.
Thanks for the video. Ocotillo, Cholla, Saguaro and Palo Verde.. makes me miss home. I grew up in Southern Arizona..hardest hunting Ive ever done. Makes me miss home
