How bout it Bill? Any pics yet? Surely with getting bows ready for KaZoo, working on the Grizzly broadheads and website, tweaking the new Nitro 3 pc longbow, and celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Zipper Bows, you've had time to finish that cradle for the one piece form, crank out a couple, and have some pics for us to see! :D :p
I would like to see pic's of the new one-piece myself!
There you go Bill!
I'd like to get my hands on one.
:bigsmyl: me too.
I see Bill is up and posting this morning. TTT for Bill!
I have 1 glued up and roughed out. I got to shoot it last night around 9pm. It is not even close to ready for pictures. This one is a 56"er and so far so good.I will know more by monday.I'm going try to get a couple more (58"&60")glued up today and tomorrow.
this could get costly ....
. :scared: :scared: :scared:
So if I am correct, pictures by Monday? :bigsmyl:
:goldtooth:
I better get at it!
Bill
Thanks Bill! Any recommended drawlengths for those bows(Especially the 56&58)? Glad to hear your busy!!
And if you need a left hand test bunny i'm up for the challenge. :bigsmyl:
Somehow I feel like this story ends with my wife p*ssed off at me...wierd.
I was hoping he was bringing back the mild R/D Zipstick of yesteryear. Bet this one is a shooter though.
Anything in the 62-64" range for us guys with knuckles that drag on the ground!!?? :saywhat:
I just recieved Bill's Proto .. The new Nitro 3pc longbow. Had a few minite to shoot today and it is a smooth fast bow ... I have a 30+ inch draw .. it's very smooth to 29 3/4 .. few a very slight peck at 30+ ... Shoot a 665 gr arrow 30" draw at 170 fps. Bow is marked 52@28 so I figure I should be pulling around 58#. I shot the bow with a new string without string silencers and it was very quite. really like the bow alot ... grip is great!
Bill, since you have a bunch of longdraw testers, I can be your short draw tester - just send me a 56 or 58 for 27" draw and I will report back. It will take a lot of time and effort, but I think I am up for it.
Monday 6:38 p.m.
Bill, bring one with you to MN if you hunt this fall... I'd love to test one of your bows...
Sure hope your bringing a few to Kalamazoo !!!!
Bill
So the 60" Zipstick form needs a minor change.I have changed the 60" form but the table feed motor on my thickness sander died sunday.I cant make any laminations until I get it fixed.
The 56" is good to go. After building the 56". I am considering a 54" but I may be getting ahead of myself. For now I need to get the 58" and 60" up to speed.
We will see Bill time is getting short but I'm trying. This is the earliest I have quit for the evening in quite some time.
What do you see for expected/recommended drawlengths on those Bill?
The 56" will handle 28".
Thank you SIR! Hope you can get a few done, but only at your highest expectations, for KaZoo.
Bill,
You know how I feel about short bows. 54" sounds about right to me but if you need a review on that 56", it shouldn't take me more than a few years to complete. ;) ;) ;)
Jamie
can't wait to see some pics. :bigsmyl:
You guys know the rules...Without pics they don't exist. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
If you need a tester for that 56", I'll be down in Mt. Orab this weekend visiting the folks. Always glad to help out a fellow TGer.
