I have 5.33 days left that I can hunt in bow season. :)
Good luck Kenny
Good luck Kenny! Let us know how it turns out.
Good luck Kenny. Our last rifle season is going on right now until Sun. ( Antlerless ) All unused tags are good for this season.
I know You can Bow hunt now also if You wear orange. I'm going out tomorrow after it cools off a little. I also live in unit 19 and I can take a doe up to Jan 31st with My bow.
hopefully your pics include something dead, i seen three last nite but nowhere close enough for a shot, i'm gonna try calling in a coyote after deer seasons over. way to many of those around here.
good luck.
Scare some down my way! With this wind the past two weeks I've seen zilch.
Leftyfred
Tonite was a bust for deer, too warm I think.
Saw 5 Toms, but 200 yds off.
And a hawk that scared me a bit, came outta nowhere and dropped in the weeds right in front of me!
Good luck!
Get um Kenny.
My knee didn't wanna go this AM after packing a stand in and hangin it last nite. Sooo I drove around the section at daylite and saw .......23 dang deer!!
Took a tree ladder in this afternoon and moved the stand after a little scouting. If NW wind in AM, I hope to have some luck in the mornin!
I have good trails on 4 sides of the stand with farthest at 18-20 yds
Hope your late season goes better than mine did. Had to have my gall bladder taken out over Christmas and our season ended with me in the easy chair. Best wishes!
Go get 'em Kenny!
I feel your pain Kenny,I'm in the same state.Going out tomorrow morning to see if I can make it happen.Talked to a guy this morning who had a nice 8 pointer in his pick-up that he'd just shot with a bow.
Thanks guys! Got some pics loading... :bigsmyl:

They're loadin, OK!!
Ooo!
The story-
I had a wild plan to hunt where some deer had been comin across the gravel road on the north lease . I parked by the neighbors house and walked 150 yds down thru the beanfield, looping around so the deer didn't cross where I walked before the shot op.
As if they read the play book, at 4:40, 3 does come over the far hill and gallop to the road. Confidently, the 1st one crossed and walked right out in front of where I sat in my double Bull chair nestled in some pinoaks, with a cedar cut and propped up in front.
My plan was to shoot before they hit the scentstream. This can bite you if a buck you want is bringing up the rear.
At the shot(which I thought was low and forward) she took off at full throttle, giving a high jump as she went over the hill in the beanfield.
One doe went with her,the other stood across the road, knowing something was wrong here. She finally followed , so I walked out and picked up the arrow that snapped off when she took off.
Not too good on penetration, I thought. I would find later that it hit the legbone on the far side and bounced back partway.
Here is what I saw when I topped the little hill...

The pic above is about where she jumped high on top of the hill, you can see where she staggered.
A nice doe, one of my buddies had just called and told me if I shot one and didn't want it, he didn't have any. Seems he had been doin a lot of duck huntin, wanted to give me some duck meat if I got him a deer. I told him "how bout I just give you the deer?"
The ol test bow should be thouroghly tested now, but I still have an any-deer tag....

Here is where the arrow entered..

By the way, this is my first ever 3 under deer and first since 2003 with a wood arrow.
A Surewood from a Braveheart test kit.
These test kits are the bomb!
Way to go Kenny! Congrats
Test bow way too accurate! Any one who has one of these will spend all their time draggin' stuff out of the woods and hardly any time enjoying the hunt.
Awesome...congratulations!
Nice deer Kenny. Great test there.
Thanks guys!
Shaun, that bow shoots exactly where I have it pointed every time! Sadly, sometimes I don't point it right!
 Nice job Kenny.
Good shootin' Kenny!
Very nice

Blood trail??? We don't need no steenkin' blood trails! It's interesting to see all the unique facets that can come together in a hunt. The prints in the field and heap at the end of the trail are neat to see.
I was feeling sorry that you'd broken an arrow, at first(?!), but guess it is OK, after all.
Great job, and congratulations!
Way to go Kenny!
Congratulations!!
:archer:
Way to go buddy looks like the test bow and arrows are keepers :bigsmyl:
Congrats on a great season Kenny and another fine deer. :notworthy:

Congratulations Kenny!
Congrats Kenny! Awesome to get one sitting on the ground like that. I got a doe Friday morning. I love hunting these late season does and thinning the herd a little.
I usually dont need the meat at this point but a neighbor or the food bank is always there to take this wonderful meat.
Love your bow too.
Thanks guys! The bow is a test bow frankenstein, I did some new stuff to it a couple years back, then it laid around the shop. Thought it needed to earn its keep! :D
Nothin tonite, not even a squerl!
3 days left startin Friday, got a stand waitin on a NW wind....
i got one tag left now, hope i can use it up.
I love tracking like that!
Really nice to come over the hill and see the pile up......and discover the heart shot..... :notworthy:
I have one anydeer tag left and a killer buck stand hung. :bigsmyl:
Hope they run a little late Fri AM, gotta cut a couple limbs when I get there, didn't have my saw when I hung it a week ago.

Dang it turned ccccold. Wussed out this AM and got pretty cool tonite, no deer, but heard one blowin about 200 yds upwind, then later saw a BIG bobcat at about 250 yds.
