I really love cedars but recently I have bought some carbons which are really a pleasure to shoot. For hunting I like 4 x 4" on 90 Deg. Parabolics and 3 x 5" Hi-Back Shields.
Cedar 32" long with 3 5&1/2" parabolic feathers tipped with 145 grain Eclipse heads for about 650 total grains.
Easton 2016's with 4, 4" parabolics. 145gr tips equals 510 grains out of my 51# bow. Just perfect for me.
Surewood fir shafts, 3x 5 1/2" shields and Ace standard or STOS.
1535 GT Traditional cut 27 12" with 140 grains upfront weighing in at 425 gns, outta a 60" Maddog 49# Longbow

I can shot the same Kind of arrow outta each bow, Just got cut'em different lengths.
Gonna go to spruce in ranges 55-70 spined in due time for all the bows. All arrows have 3 5inch RW Shield cut. God Bless
Ash Shafts 60-65 30"BOP 4x4"-5" nana cut feathers (PINK) selfnocks and topped w/160grn Snuffer 3-blade
The one with the white paint on the shaft from the spray painted bullseye that was still wet. It's on its second wrap and third set of feathers. :bigsmyl:
Gold Tip Traditional 5575, w/ 4" shield cut True Flights, 100 gr. insert and 150 gr. Stingers.
Arrow Dynamic Trad Lites with various tip weights (depends on bow). I shoot these in bows ranging 40# - 53# weights at my 29" draw. Using the same set for 6yrs now.

Shoot from 54# Firefly & 55# Savannah.
carbon express heritage
I like Sweetland forgewood cedars with either STOS, Zwickey or Abowyer broadheads.
Beman MFX Classic 500. Best arrow I've ever shot.
A couple months ago I would have said blackhawk vapors, but I recently started shooting Easton full metal jackets and they are great for me.
2016 cut to 29.5 w/ 3 4" parabolic feathers
Cheap ICS Bowhunters. Or Hunters
With a 100 grain insert and 125 grain head
Cut to tune for each bow
Yellow wrap 3 five inch yellow feathers
POC shaft with Zwickey Delta, 3 - 5" banana feathers matted down with fresh blood.
Right now I'm shooting a light aluminum arrow setup for both of my recurves and it is a 32" BOP (back of point) 421 grain 2212 and I really like it a lot.
Two of my bows like:
3R Traditional Only at 29.5 BOP. With nock insert, Bohning classic index nock, 8" Onestringer wrap and 3 @ 5" shield feathers. Up front there is a glue--n-glue-on adaptor (20 grains) and a 160 gr point. I use this out of a 51# at 29" recurve with an SBD 6-strand string -- also out of a 53# at 29" recurve with a 6-strand SBD string.
Another of my bows is 50# at 29" recurve with an SBD 6-strand string and it likes:
a 29.5" BOP easton 2117 with a 9" Onestringer wrap and bohning classic nock and 3 @ 5" feathers on the back. Up front it has a 26 gr aluminum glue-in-glue-on adaptor and 125 gr field point or a 119 gr Bear Razorhead.
I used GT 1535 and 3555 (think thats what hey are)
i like htem since bigjim sells the blems. I really liked the cx heritge 90's as well. but no brass inserts for them.
River cane 28 1/2", 4 fletch low Banna cut feathers, self nocks, Big Ole (old) Simmons Interceptors. :archer2:
Carbons...Carbon Express 150's and Trad Only 400 and 500's. Like the CE's for hunting though as they are heavier than the TO's.
75-80# surewoods with 160 grain STOS or snuffers.
3River's Trad only shafts 340 spine cut to 30.25" with a 100 grain brass insert and 175 grain VPA Terminator.
I like the skinny carbons...Axis, FMJ, Beman MFX with 4 X 4" left heilical fletch, 75 X 105. Size (spine) of shaft varies with the bow or who is shooting. I like 200-250 grains up front. They are all footed with 1" aluminum shafts.
Sweetland forgewoods 4 fletched w/4" feathers and eclipse
Broadheads
My favorite wood is barrel tapered ash. I shoot aluminum 2117's now with Arrow Dynamic Trad Lites.
I will agree with Falconview...years past it was strictly Forgewood Battle shafts.
In order
Cane
Cane
Cane
Not to take anything away from the beautiful wooden arrows being built out there. Cane is just my favorite.

Back in 1969 it was cedar, this old timer gave me a micoflight shaft.Wow i had a new favorite shaft. Now its Goldtips some are over ten years old.Sometimes i give one away to a new guy starting out,to repay the favor.
Axis 400 w Simmons tigershark 3 white fletch covered in blood head to toe
Bamboo with reenforced self knock. They shot well on alsmot all of my bows from 40# to 52#.
AD Trads with 100 gr brass insert and 300 gr point 30.5" BOP.arrow weight is about 800gr.
For wood, which I rarley shoot anymore, 75# Sweetlands 30.5 BOP also with 160 gr heads again arrow weight is about 800 gr. I have about 3 doz stashed away.
Easton Axis 500 with three five inch Shield cut feathers brass insert and anything Zwickey on the business end.
douglas fir covered in blood!
The toughest arrow I use is carbon express and my favorite that being said I shoot Goldtip Trads mostly the blems they are cheeper and a very good arrow. Widow
I've settled in on hardwoods specifically ash because of weight and toughness but difficult to get 8 out of a dozen to meet specs. 70#, 3-blade Woodsmans 200gr. upfront, 3 five inch shield cut wild turkey feathers which quickly stabilize, maintain shape and provide natural waterproof qualities. 750 gr. total.
Doug Fir or POC with 3 5" sheild goose feathers and a Zwickey head. O h and made by me of course
Gold tip traditional 5575's. I can't seem to break or bend one no matter what I do
One covered in red blood, and still in one piece. Gold Tip trad, wich size depends on wich bow.But always gold tip.
GT Trad 3555's full-length with 3x4" elliptical feathers (quieter than shields), 50 gr insert, and 125 gr points/broadheads works very nicely for me--45 lb 60" Bear Super Kodiak off-the-shelf with about 27.5" draw. Arrow weighs about 435 gr right at 10 gr per lb and smack-on Stu's calculator. I'm shooting this setup for hunting, indoor, field, and 3D.
29" cx "edge" hunters (no longer made )250`s 3x4"shields 150gn up front total 530gn`s flat & fast out of both my bows .
once theyv`e all gone im gona try easton mfj`s
CX Heritage 150's.Just wish they were made in the U.S.A.
My new Douglas Fir arrows from Wilderness Custom Arrows. Look great and shoot even better.
Tapered Surewood Fir, heavy point, white crown, chartreuse 4" 90x90 four fletch, 11-12 gpp.
I like your choice Fletcher.
Kind of like the red and white too.

Right now, GT 55/75 29.5" 100gr insert, 250gr point, 1" alu footing..... 3 x 5" rw With as much twist as I can put on them..
