Well I got the call from Jim he is going to start working on my Centaur;
Ebony Riser, Tamo Ash Veneers, Bighorn sheep on riser grooves and tips. Stippled Palm Grip.
58" 57# @ 28"
I can't get enough pictures of Centaurs as I wait for the bow to be finished so if you guys would be so kind post pics of your Centaurs!
I hope to hear from Jim soon about my Centaur build and I too am pondering wood combo's and options. That sounds like a winner you've have going there. Although it's hard to wrong with a Centaur.
the dark to light contrast should be really gorgeous , I am super excited!

Centaurs are some of the best craftsmanship you'll see. Best BOW on the market, IMHO. If the grip fits ya and light mass weight doesn't bother ya, you'll be hard pressed to find a better bow.
Mike
Hey Rick, pics were too big didn't come thru. Try again, send em' to my other email.

(http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z318/arrow39/20111107010.jpg)The light mass weight seems to be on most all longbows is the reason I added a light bow quiver a few years ago. I am glad I did because it brought my longbow with quiver and arrows to a little over 2 lbs which seems to be the sweet spot for shooting accurate and carring. Ken Denton

this is making me so excited for my bow, all gorgeous guys.
You are going to love it. Jim is a first rate guy and bowyer, I only wish Jim would come out with a good two piece (never really liked the connection hinge system and he has since stopped making bows with it anyway) or three piece bow...

what woods/model is thatone, sure is a nice.
Dark brown shade of Cocoabola (sp) riser and Olive Ash Burl on the belly with prairie rattler over the carbon back.
I'm picking up- mine at the K'zoo expo. You can bet I will post pics.
I like Larry's grip so much on his Centaur I asked Jim to use it as a template and added a few changes to it like the fiberglass and a medium grip but with a little more meat in the palm swell. Jim nailed it as usual.
