Here are today's shots. I'm gonna clarify a bit. A lot on the other thread some thought the deer was too alert. So for this round you are at full draw. The buck had his head down feeding and happened to look just as you got to full draw. Now would you still shoot? On this guy I'm dropping the string, and hoping I can keep my composure

Here's wher I'd put the arrow :)

Here is the next shot. This buck stopped to feed a bit more so he is not moving.

This is where I'd shoot.

i would have killed them both as they were!
The first one arrow would be in flight ast your mark, and the second would be away and about the same spot maybe an inch more to the rear.
Assuming the Muley is calm, I would shoot but aim 2" lower cause I think he'll drop at the shot.
The antelope..I'm shooting no further forwrad than your spot but as far back as the point where the white turns brown in front of the rear leg.
I'de hold lower on the muley in case he jumps string. Pronghorn would be another couple inches back. Love these threads keep'em coming. Joe
I'd hold another 6" lower on that Muley and then be amazed that he still got down below the arrow! There is no curiosity in that boy's eyes. He knows what's up.
Looks good to me maybe a tad lower on the Muley, how far away are we talking........? If it's 25 yards or less let'er rip!!
I aim one dot south of yours in each case. No way I'm shooting the deer while he's looking. The antelope is going to taste real good!
I'd wait on the muley. Letting an arrow fly while he's looking straight at me seems like a good way to get him to move, jump, something. Hold still, let him calm down and drop his head and start feeding again. Then take the shot.
Ground hunting, right?
A little lower on the muley and a few inches back
on the pronghorn right where you got him marked.
Just a tad lower on the buck for me, but I would definitely have an arrow on the way. I'd aim for your spot on the antelope.

i might look a bit lower on the muley, ......arrows away on both.
The Muley I would shoot low in the crease and the lope I would shoot where the tip of the stick is thinking he would go forward a bit. I`ve never killed either species so who knows.RC
Like others I would aim little lower on The mulie and I would pass on the lope for a better shot. I do like the spots that are marked.
The mulie is a dead deer, the lope is something I would hold off on hoeping he turns a bit to the right.
Ryan, I am digging this thread!!! I fixin' to head out with one of your arras and run it through a whitetail :) But before I do...

*On the mulie I'd hold "heart on" that way if he did any kind of whitetail Texas-matrix thing it would drill the lungs and if he stayed still when my Osprey went off quietly (as usual) it's be a heart job
(http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r296/wapiti792/pronger.jpg)
*On the pronger I drew in where I think his leg would be. My shot would be a little further back than yours. Either shot I would take.
I would shoot both, but I would aim lower on the mulie.
My shot on the muley would be that dark patch just below and to the right of your dot; I'd also be further back on the pronghorn. I don't think the spots marked are bad either though. I'm a def. shooter on both.
Thanks for the responses. I find it curious at where folks would aim according to what they hunt ie. whitetails and other critters and from what part of the country your from and how wired your animals are. It's very interesting. FYI the muley pic is on a world famous unit that gets next to no pressure, I was within 20 yards of him for 5 min. I don't think he would "jump" the string, especially not like a high strung whitetail, he might duck a bit. Thanks for taggin along. More to follow :)
Chances are while I was trying to make up my mind, the muley would walk off...lol
The pronghorn would get an arrows sent toward the front portion of his off shoulder.
God bless,Mudd
I would pass on the muley. He's on to me by the looks of it and I wouldn't want to risk an iffy shot. Full draw or not, he's going to move much faster than an arrow out of my longbow.
As for the antelope, he's dead.
By the way, this is a pretty cool thread and thanks for posting it.
I would have taken both shots in a heartbeat and tried for a couple of inches lower on each. Good ones!!
For the muley I would aim right where you have it. For the lope since his front left leg is back behind the shrub I would aim about an 1" or 2" behind your spot.
I'de shoot till I ran outta arras!
I would take both of those shots. I would just aim lower as has been said before in case they ducked.
Ryan frist things frist which side of the HWY is this mule deer on? It could make a big difference! ;)
Assuming it is on the right side of the road I might be one dot lower and 1/2 inch right.
The goat I would wait for a better shot because of the angle. I shot a antelope 1" to the right 1" lower than your dot and it only took one lung out. Luckly the arrow hit the offside shoulder dropping him in his tracks giving a second shoot for quick ending. If you aimed a little futher back it would work fine but will be a messy gut job.
If I wasn't so slow on my reply you would have answered my frist question!
