I have been holding onto this little LE Stemmler(made around 1915) ever since just after my grand daughter was born.
I intended to give it to her someday.
Jeff was over shooting with me this evening and while we were sitting around shooting the breeze afterwards I wanted to show it to him.
I unwrapped the bow and started to string it when it snapped. My heart sank!
I should have been more careful with it. I most likely applied uneven pressure on the limbs.
It is a "was" now!

It's still a wall hanger Roy.
Bummer Mudd! But if was going to break, aren't you glad it broke with you than after you gave it to your granddaughter? I would imagine it would make her feel even worse than it did you.

X 2 what Mcdave said.
Like McDave said better you than her just be glad now one got hurt.
All though it is to bad that it broke. It is better to have you around in good health to shoot with your granddaughter. You will find some thing for her to shoot and she will have just as many good memories.
:( , Sorry to hear.
