Title: My European Hog Mount is Back

This Hog mount was done by Bob Larson's son and daughter ages 7 and 10. It was cleaned by beetles and bleached.

Bob Larson is the other hunter in the movie Glory Hogs by South Cox at Stalker Bows. This is the Hog I shot and is in my avatar.

Looks Great, But why did they drill holes in the skull???? (J/K about the holes)

Very cool Bjorn! What a great mount. Have you seen some of these types of mounts where the guy has installed a small light in the skull?

Look's great, love them tusks!

Them holes are natural guys. All my deer, elk, and antelope euro mounts have the same holes. I'm sure hogs are the same.

that looks great, i am going pig hunting is UT next time i fly down, and if im successful i want to have the skull cleaned and put on a skull hooker mount.

The small holes are where nerves and blood vessels come out.  I have done a skull mount without beetles.   Pewww!  You have to boil carefully and scrape and pull judiciously.

Excellent job. The hog and the mount.
I need to find out more about those beetles. The "buck head soup" I go through is okay, but not as completely clean as yours.
