Awesome! Lets keep em coming guys.

As someone with a Kanati on order right now, I fully approve of this thread. More!
-
I don't have this one anymore but here's a picture for you anyway.

So where did it go?...I will be very honest, I think about it very often and do miss it...There are days I regret selling it very much.
Great pics everyone! Kanati's are as good as it gets!
-
Jake, that's not the one I got from you. The one I got from you is the one laying across that 12 point my son shot. I liked it too. I almost didn't let him have it. Glad I did though.

I've got a "Special" one coming next month...will keep it a secret until I can post some pics of it when it gets here. Can't wait! Going to be a rare one from what I understand. :goldtooth:
I'll post some pics of my current later tonight...they're smooth as butter and the bowyer is a great guy!
Jason...can't wait for you to get the material in to get mine going!

I'll be getting mine this month!
It will nice to have one again. I foolishly traded off the one I had before.
-
Here's a shot of my new leather grip wrap.
It's surprising that this 1.5 ounce leather helps keep the dymondwood handle from freezing my hand. Looks pretty nice too I think.
-
Sold this one to TLANE. I missed a big gobbler with it and it had to go there was something wrong with it.

You will be pleased with your new Kanati. Best bow I have ever had. Like 30coupe said "I will have this one forever". I put a leather grip on mine too, feels great. For 42 lbs. it's very fast. The only deer I have not shot thru is the one in the pic. hit the Y bone in the off side of the front shoulder.

Ok, that's got my curiosity going. Looking forward to see pics of this one...

Mine's due next month. "Green Machine" with amber bamboo. Might put some skins on it.
Looking forward to seeing this "Special" one.

I'll wait until it gets here..."special" in that it will look different from all others than I have seen on here. Can't wait to see how it turns out and it will look great in the woods of Michigan (and hopefully other states)!
My wife calls me “special”…but I'm not sure how to take that! :biglaugh:
Russ…did you do the leather yourself? I'd like to get that added to my current and future Kanati.

Yup. It's goat skin. It's thin and pretty tough but not as stretchy as deer skin. Deer would probably be easier to work around the throat of a Kanati. It was kind of a pain, but now that it's done I like it.
The only thing I'd change about my Kanati is the riser material. Had I known how cold dymondwood was going to be, I'd have had Jason use actionwood. The leather really seems to help though, so maybe it's no longer going to matter. I kind of like the way it looks too.
-
Russ...thanks for the info! We have several furniture manufactures up here and we can get premium scrap leather relatively cheap. Going to give it a try.
Here are pics of mine…sorry not the greatest pictures.
60" 57 @ 29" and smooth as butter!

Sweet bows everyone. I think my next one will sport black glass. The bocote JK posted awhile back was awesome also.

Dymondwood is more resin (plastic) than wood vs. actionwood which is more wood than resin. Dymondwood is more dense, so if you like a little more mass that's the way to go. I find that without the leather wrap, dymondwood gets a lot colder than wood or actionwood, so I have to either hold my bow all the time or hang it on a bow hanger then hope I get a shot pretty quickly after I grab it. My hand gets cold even when wearing gloves if the riser has cooled off. The thin layer of leather helps more than I would have expected though, so I'm good!
Since I've been on BP medicine, my hands and feet get cold easier though, so your mileage may vary.

Russ, Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense to me. Thanks for explaining. Nick

Wow, nice buck TLANE! I'd say if there were bugs, they have been thoroughly exterminated!
-
Yeah I would say you got the bugs worked out.

This must be why they are called "Handcrafted HUNTING BOWS"

Great bows!!! I love mine First blood with it.

Nice Hog! I sure wish we had those in WV!

I use a computer at the local library these days, and when I try to pull up the Kanati website, the spam filter rejects it. Would love to find a way to see the site and learn more about the bows--they look really nice.
