Title: I don't know what it is and...
Post by: JINKSTER on December 30, 2011, 07:04:00 PM
I used 100% acrylic yarn for it's water shedding abilities but loving the puffs and the yarn served flem twist string ends...especially on my Bob Lee Recurve..what a difference...and bow my bows are now quiet as can be.    :)

I use 80% acrylic and 20% wool. Works for me.

I think jinkster may be right. My uncle always wrapped his strings that way to silence the bow for hunting. One of the first things he did when he bought  me a recurve was to show me how to do it. He called it a bow muffler. The time was in the 60's. Not such a new idea.
